View Full Version : Memento
ok so i JUST watched it for the first time (forgive me) and one thing is puzzling besides the obvious...
the scratches on his cheek? mean anything or are they scars from his 'attack'.
or was he not even attacked? how was he put into the whole memory loss thing?
i've literally turned it off and probably not taken it in properly.
christopher nolan, man....

Watch it again, it's a different movie second time round. One of my favourites, such an amazing film. Nolan's been my boy for years, no bandwagon.
Don't the scratches on the cheek come from when he attacks dude in the motel room? I don't remember it too clearly as it's been a while but that's what I seem to remember.
And from what I understand the attack happened (causing the memory loss), but afterwards he killed his wife with the insulin overdose thing. Just checked online but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on that.

Have watched this flick a few times over the years, and it's a different movie the fourth time around as well. This is one you really need to pay attention.

I loved it in the theater but when I tried to watch it again on video it ruined the movie for me. Without the novelties it wasn't as much fun. That's probably just me -- there are few movies that I can watch more than once.
At the theater, they did a big announcement that they wouldn't let people come in after it started and they told us to pay very close attention. I love a movie that requires a special announcement.
This is one you really need to pay attention.
yeah i realised this about half way through. i sorta acknowledged that the movie story is backwards and ignored the b/w plot, then i sorta got confused and really quite tired (not from the movie) so that didn't help.
americans sound so awkward when they say cunt, too. it's like they don't want to say it even whilst acting.

Always has been one of my favorite movies.
It really is different every time you watch it.
Nolan is seriously going to be one of the best filmmakers of our generation, hands down.
Anybody that disagrees doesn't know shit about film making, writing, or movies in general.
