PBS has been airing a reality program featuring the Big Apple Circus. It is really a 6 hour documentary that airs in 3 parts. Tonight was part 2 and it is exceptional. The stories range from performers to the people that set-up the tents. Circus is inspiring, poetic and sad. The cinematography, pacing and editing is flawless. The circus life is compelling television and this show is the true definition of reality television. No scripted drama or games. It features talented people and vagabonds running from life. Anyone remember Lancelot the Unicorn? I distinctly remember seeing commercials for it appearing at the circus when I was a kid and I remember reading somewhere that it was actually a surgically altered horse or goat or something. Can't find the old commercial anywhere
