So Skyline came out today - and today a new trailer for another alien invasion movie came out ironically set in Los Angeles as well. There is some heated debate between the studios releasing the films because the directors of Skyline also provided sfx support for Battle: Los Angeles (without disclosing their own sci-fi project) and possibly some story/ideas/etc was borrowed ripped off
Yeah this has Michael Bay big bang vibes and looks like District 9 with a Cloverfield POV at points, will it glorify the military, will the humans squeeze out another victory? Who knows. I'm curious what the message is behind this considering it appears one scene mirrors the Israeli phosphorus attacks in Gaza. This one looks like it deserves a chance but might fall short due to it's untimely release.
