Don't crucify me for another thread about the Beastie Boys' blog postings (which have been delightfully happening for over a month now—four weeks longer than I thought they would last), but on November 12, Adrock was in the zone, delivering an MVP-type performance—critiquing both Pancake Bites and modern-rock-radio-stalwarts, Creed.
These simple, yet hilarious-as-hell type of posts will keep me warm like a hug from Sasquatch until the new album reaches my ear buds.
To answer Adrock’s first query, I’d have to go with the Pancake & Sausage on a stick. Though I prefer maple-syrup over chocolate chips, you can’t pass up the 14-count quantity of Jimmy Dean’s Pancake Sticks over the mere three Pancake Bites.
The tounge-in-cheek posting of the Creed video does raise a question or two:
Scott Stapp doesn’t yelp “understand” or get his leather outfit wet until the 3-minute mark of the video. Did Adrock really dedicate that much human existence to this clip?
As for Nickelback erasing Creed’s modern-rock legacy, Adrock should find solace in the fact that Creed has actually released an album more recently than our favorite cock-rockers from the great white north, 2009’s Full Circle. Lifehouse’s Smoke & Mirrors trumps them all though, which was just released earlier this year.
