I just read Prince William is engaged to Kate Middleton. I Googled some photos and I think she is kind of hot. I don't know much about her so give me some gossip. Is the future Queen hot? Is she looked upon favorably in the United Kingdom?

I can remember Princess Diana and Prince Charles wedding and how the women flocked to the television. Nothing like a fairytale wedding to get good ratings.

I don't give a shit but I was just wondering what she would look like in the nude and if she shaves down below

really couldnt give a shiny shite about the whole thing, judging from whats been talked about at work is that everyone is wondering if we get an extra days holiday next year. I dont think so, i think its only when the direct heir gets wed do we get a bank holiday. SO charlie would have to die, in which case we would get two days off.

she's gorgeous but then I read that she was born in 82. I seriously thought she was 32-ish!

She looks older because she wears such heavy eye-liner me-thinks JUSTLIKEDIANADIDDUNNNDUNNNDUNNNNNNNNN

Prince William and I are the exact same age (same day/year)

My mom remembers being in the hospital after giving birth to me and never being able to get any help because the nurses were all watching news updates on TV about Diana giving birth to Wills.

She's always denied that the name she picked for me had nothing to do with the birthday coincidence but sometimes I wonder...

and 82 would mean she's 28. Is that such a great difference?
sorry to split hairs, but it's my hobby ;)

yeah I only just heard about this as I didn't listen to the news this AM.
I would prefer William to be our king over Charles. I would prefer Kate to Camilla as well, mainly from an aesthetic point of view as I really don't follow what the royals think/say too much. I only know that Charles is a massive tax evader. But then aren't they all.

Fuck the royal family. Seriously.

I don't give a shit about which horse-faced cunt is fucking which other horse-faced cunt. Fuck them all.

I hope there's an earthquake when they get married, and the building the wedding is taking place in collapses, trapping all the royals inside. We could keep them alive on saline drips fed through cracks in the rubble so that tourists can still come and get their fill by taking photos of the building's remains and listening to the royals' pathetic screams, but at least we'd be a republic!

To be honest, I was trying to be nice by saying "32-ish." She looks 35-38 to me.

I doubt one UKer in this thread will say much more than "fuck the royal family"

but, 2 secs before seeing this thread I tweeted I didn't realise how ugly the royal family is.

Anyway, first reason to reply was to say, she won't really be classed as Queen, like we don't call Prince Phillip King Phillip

It's probably the stress of having the Queen as your (future) mother-in-law.

I didn't "heard" anybody saying that...is really happy for the prince??!! Come one! I know you are! I'm so happy for him! I read this post and I thought "Go Prince William!" "Go Prince William!". :p

Dude. That's better than having to read in an online newspaper that Will Smith gets shy on sexy scenes. (I never forgot about that though:D)

if a woman becomes queen then husband cant be called king but if its other way round they are called King and Queen.

Did not not know that. Just kinda assumed its the same both ways round, so now I know :o

because the whole organisation was built on sexism, racism and general inbreeding over the years

he always looked his age until the past couple i would say. i think its the thinning hair that is doing it.

He's got all the money in the world, I can't understand this ^

Meh, seems like a nice enough bloke for a self entitled son of a poop

Guy Incognito
11-17-2010, 10:55 AM
he has not got all the money in the world, most of it is ours.

some people are not happy he has given her diana's ring as its tainted but i disagree:

1) its his mams wedding ring that she left him, whats he supposed to do. That was obviously the reason.

2) thank fuck he didnt buy a new one and cost the taxpayer more money.

Thing is, I do think the royal family pay for themselves. There must be loads of gullible americans that come to the UK partly because we have a Royal Family. And the history of having a german royal family that has inbred must also interest some who come over.

And having this in the news keeps anything important out of the news to.

i disagree, they visit to see the sights, they come to buckingham palace but no one actually needs to be there. . It costs a fucking fortune and its not just the immediate royal family, its all the staff, second cousins and all that. Sack them all and tourists would still come.
True story which has not much to do with anything:
My mum came on a school trip to london with my class when i was young and all she could say when she got to buckingham palace was that the curtains could do with washing.

I go to england for vegimite and the bacon rolls at mcdonalds (y)
its marmite. its vegimite in australia but i now wholeheartedly back the idea for marmite and bacon rolls. that sounds nice.

The UK has shit loads of nicer castles and public stately homes than Buckingham Palace - they go there cus the Royal Family is there.

I'm no apologist for them, I do think they are a parasite on society, but if I look at it objectively, I can see them paying for themselves, just. If they would just come a bit more into the 21st Centenary, down-sized there operation but kept the posh front then I think we'll have a thriving business.

yes but if there wasnt an RF then tourists would still come to see where they lived.
Elvis is dead but loads of people still want to go to Graceland

oh and why should i pay for the queen to have a shitload of racehorses that make her more money? And thats just one example off top of my head

that'll soon fizzle out tho. I bet the average age of graceland visitors is 50+ They ain't gonna live forever.

Hmmms, but my argument falls down as probably its over 50s who see the royals.

i really think at least they should do work experience occasionally. I know some have jobs in army but that doesnt count, they shouldnt get to choose. Send Prince edward to be a dinner lady for a week or charles gets sent to a work as a binman. i would have a bit more time if that shit like that happened.

Just reading the above posts I came up with a great idea for the Prince and bride to be. Do away with all of the royal fanfare that is generated with these events and get married here at the Elvis Chapel (http://www.elvischapel.com/?gclid=COyum9LGqKUCFRhCgwodRDieIw). The multi millions of pounds saved can be donated to those who truly have no idea this guy exists. (http://www.eyesondarfur.org/)

The Hound Dog package is only $305. It's a bargain when you realize this wedding is being performed by a King.

Goodwill towards mankind is possible, if only they decide so.

she seems like a lovely match for prince william. neither are the best looking people around, but they're cute enough and both quite fit.

they're so fancy and grown up too.

I don't know why other people are fascinated by royalty, but I know I am because of growing up with princess fairytales being so ubiquitous. it just seems so fantastical, so weird, exotic. maybe because the U.S. has never had royalty.

anyway, it's a bit of living history, but all in all seems pointless.

I find it weird that a prince is born into a set life. His life is dictated by the royal family. What if he had a talent like music or sports? His lot in life is to carry on the tradition so he is groomed to attend the finest educational institutions and not stray from tradition. Living in a bubble has to be difficult. I am sure he and Kate will have children and make the Queen Mum proud. I can't imagine living under such a microscope. I am sure I would be a rouge prince and soil the family name. I would get drunk and use the prince card to pick up women. i am sure I would get caught by the paparazzi leaving with a trollop from the wrong side of the tracks and the Queen would banish me to the Bahamas to a life of Bahama Mamas and gambling on Paradise Island. Now that I think of it that wouldn't be so bad.

^Hurry up harry come on!

I like Harry, he is a bit of a rogue prince. It must be pretty annoying when you're 3rd in line to the thrown but you know you'll never be king unless you murder two of your brothers. Now that'd be some history to pass on and I'm sure would generate loads of tourism.

So it's going to be 29th April 2011. And an extra bank holiday for us (y)

I honestly don't have a controversial opinion on the Royals. They just kind of exist for me and I accept it.

I think they make a very lovely couple though.

Not sure why but I enjoy this match up. Kate seems like a strong young woman and good for them.

I, too, am fascinated by the royals. I guess because so much of my history classes growing up revolved around this topic. Kings and Queens shaping the course of human events. Someone said it is living history and I guess that pretty much sums it up for me.

I kinda dig the royalty too. I mean, back in the 1800's Brazil had Kings and I love going to the historic museum to see all that royal crap, like their tables and furniture and everything else. It's useless, but interesting.:o
