we're using elfster like we did last year. it is easy to use, you can ask questions anonymously of your giftee, and it's completely random.

the sign up deadline is 03 december. you will receive your person after this date. you can ask them questions, all sorts of shit. INTERNET.

this santa will not have any control over who gets who but will be able to see who got who after the date if they so wish, so if you sign up and do not send a present, they will forcibly insert a lump of coal into your anus.

when you sign in/up to elfster remember to put your address in your profile, or else no one can send you a chuffin' present. don't worry, only your secret santa can see your address. to turn off email alerts, as they are probably very annoying, go to you > update profile (put your address here) > mail preferences > disable email notifications.

try to include an indication of your username in your profile somewhere, or post here.

i think facebook sync is just an option for a lot of things these days


just skip over it/hit 'no thanks' or whatever option they give you. you should be able to do everything through the elfster site.

It's about 30 reais + 5-10 reais (the mail, I guess) = 45 reais is not much. It depends on who's getting the gift though. A bad person won't get anything up to 1 real! hihihiiiiiii!

Yeah, it's totally random, no restrictions have been put in place. 1 hour 38 mins to midnight here so maybe then, or maybe it works of US time. But still, within 24 hours. You'll get yours, you won't know who has you until it arrives and assuming they say who its from.

i just sent my package last week, partly due to bad weather and partly due to a long ass vacation. but it's there, in the mail, hopefully about to be delivered soon.

i also didnt get one, and i hate you all for ruining my christmas dreams. hahahaha.

Because I can see who has who (since I was the create event person) I can assure you that they have announced in this thread they have sent it. Hopefully it'll get there some day like you say.

yee haw! thanks again roby for the chocolate and doll and tiny mug and tiny alarm clock. I hooked it on my purse, and I'm quite certain that strangers love it too.

the mail service is AWFUL in my city. like the worst in the country, no joke. My mom sent me a christmas package and an envelope on december 5th, and I didn't get the package until the beginning of january. and that was after she called the post office to inquire and they told her they couldn't find it anywhere. then it just kinda "showed up" 2 days later. the envelope was sent back to her with the address blacked out for some reason. so, she sent the envelope (empty, she kept the contents to give to me when I'll see her later this month) back to the post office with a letter to the supervisor asking why it happened and why the package went missing...and then they sent the empty envelope to me, blacked out address and all. So I was all, "omg! somebody stole my gift card!" at first, and called my mom and she was like, "no, they're just idiots".

Some dickhole obviously stole it, or perhaps it is sitting at your local branch of the post office because maybe your apartment buildings little mail box thingies didnt fit it? Did you try stopping in there and see if they are holding a package for you?

Its not a huge package, but it was a larger than regular sized padded envelope that was white and had xmas drawings on it.

WTF.

I spent alot of time picking out your lil prezzies, I also tried only sending stuff that was made locally or in Canada at the very least. Lip balm and chocolate and soap and hot chocolate and a mix cd ARGHHHHHHH :( :( :(

Not to mention that it cost me almost 20 bucks in postage.

Call your local post office, all is not lost!
