No Knead Bread: so easy a 4-yr (with tattoos) old can make it!

My Pop started making this about once every few weeks, I don't know what possessed him to start baking, but he's having fun with it. It's a very heavy bread, I guess most homemade breads are, but this is just heavy, one slice and you're full of bread.

I love making dough and kneading it, something therapeutic about it. Even when the dough doesn't really need all that kneading (like when making pizza bases) I still knead it more than needed and then squash out all the air rolling out the dough into flat pieces.

The reason people think homemade bread is heavy is because its bread how it used to me and probably not fresh out the oven. All the spongy texture and gluey like taste you get from processed bread is all the emulsifiers and preservatives they stick in it so it can be massed produced. Good bread doesn't last more than 24 hours. You then either make it into bread crumbs or use it as fondue dipping bread or just toast it something.

I don't do any of this enough tho. Sorry to hi-jack the thread with my pro-kneading agenda.

this is pretty hardcore tho.

If my Pop can do it, you can do it. It's very good. Takes a little practice (I'm sure), but it turns out great.

I want to try making bread in my Rice Cooker (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJlOwABKepk)...!! (YouTube)
