Any Zune owners about here?

I'm in the market and x-mas is around the corner so this is an option (Sony Walkman mp3 is my other choice).

Had a Creative Labs Zen Touch 20gb and a Sansa Fuze that both insisted on dying for no reason (they only sat on my desk or my car console)

So seeing that I do not want an ipod - Zune sounds good. How is it? Can you just copy and paste songs or do you need proprietary software like itunes?

any input would be nice, I don't want my gf to waste money on this

I got an 80GB Zune for Xmas maybe 4 years ago. It's awesome. Yes, you can copy and paste.

I've had a zune since they came out...yet didn't know you could copy and paste. How it is done, i do not know but now I must figure it out.

The problems I've had with my zune, keep in mind that it is first generation, is that sometimes it will just shutoff. Not all the time...but its happened enough for me to mention it.

Also finding accessories for it can be a pain unless you want work arounds. Like buying this and connecting it with that so that it works with this and that.

The selections these days are doo doo for docking stations/FM Transmitters etc etc. unless you do work arounds.

I still dig it and get down to it all day er'yday.

I own a Sony Walkman mp3 and I loooove it! It survived to many crazy things!:D

yeah my friend has the Sony mp3 and digs it. The same amount of GB goes for about $50 or so dollars cheaper, which would add $50 more for other gifts for me :D

But the Zune is like Nice....like sorta fancy look at this nice. Which I have very few things like that - not really a big fancy look at this type of person, in fact hardly anyone will know I have this, but to know I have something like that would be nice.

I download from Demonoid. Once downloaded, everything goes to my "Downloads" file on my laptop. From there, I either copy and paste or click and drag whatever albums I just downloaded into the Zune software and I'm golden. I think that's what kaiser's eluding to anyway. I'm a tech retard.

yup - I like my mp3 player to be seen as just another storage device, I really don't like the middleman - make it simple, copy, paste, play, blam!

ohhh...yeah i do that too. everything goes right into my zune software because my downloads go to the folder it pulls from. I thought you were saying you can just click and drag through explorer.
