Help - PS2

Hey, so I bought a PS2. I know. It's old and I'm 12. It's original and new, but unblocked.

So anyway, when I do the memory card test it goes as expected, however when I try to save the game it says the card is not inserted in slot 1. I've tried both slots and none of them work in any game. What's wrong with it? I know it's on the Internet, but I couldn't find any good explanation for it.

So, help me?

did you try to run the system without any disc in and see if the option to check the card comes up?

Yep. And it says there's no data, which should mean it's there, but when I try to save the game it doesn't work. I tried several games. But They're gonna send me a new one. So, thanks. Hihiii. :D

Sometimes these things just don't work. Try another one to see if it's a console/slot or a memory card problem.

Thanks guys. The guy's getting me a new one. It's on its way. And yes, they are still selling. They probably bought it overseas real cheap and sold it more expensive. I love videogames, but I'm not fanatic about it. I don't wanna spend R$ 1.500,00 on it.:pAt least not right now.
