it's definitely a soundtrack/score and it definitely limits the scope. apparently they got their hands on a 90 piece orchestra. the tracks I enjoy the most are the straight up electronic ones.

I'd like End of Line to be my entrance music to....something.

I'll be interested to see how it ties into the visuals.

agreed, i bought it thru itunes and got "derezzed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6Afc2uzw4g)" last week before it came out today and that is the only really "banging" tune. Bit of a red herring really. End of line is good. But listening to it and seeing the track names did give me a feel of the film (only seen a coupla trailers) but it does make me want to go and see it now.
i'm sure people who are into soundtracks will be very impressed as they seem to have done a proper job on the score. Now lets see a load of fucking remixes and a live tour please?

A bit disappointed that the only two good songs are the ones we've already heard. A lot of the rest sounds like regular old movie music with some atari thrown in a little. That being said, I think its not bad and will probably be good in the film with the attached visuals - shit's gon be badass (y)

Yeah, I nerded out. I have the soundtrack, bonus disc with 5 extra songs, 2 iTunes bonus songs and Amazon bonus song.

30 new Daft Punk songs!

I like the sound and eagerly anticipating seeing them with the visuals of the movie. The trailer with them in it does kick ass!

Anyhoo, I'm just happy to have new music from the Robots.

I concur on a tour. I went to the 2007 Brooklyn show and it remains in my top 5 shows ever.

I am crossing everything they play glastonbury next year. I mean the Pyramid at the Pyramid stage, it has to happen, unless they have decided to do something else now. Plus its whether they can sort it at the festival. Hope so.

Castor is a faster tempo track.

The rest are slower moody Soundtracky songs.

I dig them.

I reviewed this for another music website and gave it 4 out of 10. It's a tricky album to write about without actually seeing the film first. That said, I found most of it incredibly boring.

I kind of enjoy scores anyway so I'm not mad that it's not a straight up, typical Daft Punk album. It does have a slight difference though to most scores with those touches of electronic sounds so I really dig that. (y)

Looks like the link is down - doing stuff like this will ruin a great opportunity for people who want to share the music they made for free.

Be interesting to see how you'd actually MAKE an entrance to this-surely all slow-mo robot walking. :)

I work at a indie record store and I play it once and a while. It's not as fun to listen to as say.... Discovery.

But, as a Soundtrack. It is defiantly work more than 4 or 5.5 (Pitchfork). Just the sounds and work that the Robots put into it are worth some praise.
