I applied for a new job as a designer at Poop-on, and got rejected, even though my samples were totally awesome and better than they do.

but then I got a raise at my regular job that pays as much as that job would've.

so that's good.

I meant to put something about this being an interactive thread.

my eyes hurts. too much computer today. I'm also having trouble writing clear sentences for some reason. I blame my left arm. I injured it last night, as well as my kneecap and stomach. playing this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z1vHI27EbM

WhirlyBall, Go-karts, or hovercraft?? I don't see wheels, oh wait, kinda like bumper cars?? Right? I've never heard of this before.

haha, i meant groupon.

and yeah, they're bumper cars, but they go faster and are steered by turning a crank steering stick thing with your non-dominant hand. your dominant hand holds a scoop thing that can catch and throw a wiffle ball. it's like basketball meets jai alai meets lacrosse in bumper cars. it's an amazing game, so fun. it's a shame it's so painful...though i suppose with practice you could avoid most injuries. like, i hurt myself because i drove straight into the wall at full speed because i didn't realize i still had my foot on the gas. there is no brake, but with practice i'd learn to take my foot off the pedal, how to avoid the wall and subsequent tissue damage, etc.

that bumpercars game looks fucking GREAT! they should make the hole a little bigger though.

thinking about it though there is a huge potential for broken hands, im glad you didnt break your hand(y)

There was a talk about Groupon on NPR yesterday (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=129386346)....

Very interesting, apparently they turned down a 6 billion dollar buyout (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/10_51/b4208006060501.htm) from Google.... My Sister's tried it out, but not a whole lot of deals in our area..
