Is it too early?

No, ok then lets do it. Song doesnt have to mean single btw.

Album Delicacies - Simian Mobile Disco. Its pretty recent and am still really into it but i havent heard anything else that has suprised me or captivated me all year.

Song Acapella - Kelis. Might not be the most fashionable choice but i thought it was simplistic genius.

Album: Bonobo - Black Sands. The only album I can sit through on repeat without skipping for an entire afternoon. Listen to a mix preview of the album (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tvQCf57peM)

Song: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Half State. At first I couldn't warm to it, but over a few weeks it bore into my brain like a cancerous worm and now I find myself humming it wherever I go. Reminds me of early Verve material. Listen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eejX7kX-mIw)

I think Kanye had the best album I heard all year.

I can't really single out any one song that stood out as the best song of the year, though. Maybe We Used To Wait (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDM9qyXrfN8&feature=related) by Arcade Fire.

2010 has been great, I do think Kanye represents the year yet I'm still sort of holding out on it my favorite album of 2010.

Usually I run the opposite direction from my songs like the one that is my favorite song of the year for 2010.

Sufjan Stevens - I Walked (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25OC3m5QdYY)

It's insane but the way Sufjan toys with all of the sonics and emotion involved in the theme of the song really impresses me.

Album - it's between Beach House's Teen Dream and Arcade Fire's The Suburbs

Song - either Norway or We Used To Wait/Ready to Start/The Suburbs off those albums respectively.

Helicopter by Deerhunter would also be in with a shout.

theres loads of other bits and bobs. who knows.

yup, i just popped in to add Beach House as a proper fave this year, probably on a par with Crystal castles...still haven't managed to listen to new Arcade Fire...spotify don't have it, nor other site i use and just haven't had time to bother elsewhere. haven't heard some of those songs but am gonna check em out now

i know it's not from this year but i'm certain my most listened to song of the year is Moon and Moon-Bat for Lashes

and had a bit of a listen over the last few weeks, that Bonobo Black Sands is lush

I didn't really listen to much new, but Kanye's is the best album I guess, and to be diplomatic I'll pick the title song from my other favourite album this year, The Roots "How I Got Over"

Bonus: John Legend and The Roots doing "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire.

still haven't found anywhere to stream The Suburbs-even youtube not got much, but dldd Kanye...might grow on me a bit but a lot of it just not my thing.

I listened to The Radio Dept. several hundred times this past year and enjoyed it more with each spin. It's like elevator music for the medical marijuana tower.

That Fitz thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cVRkeFYXWA)drives me batty only because I love the band (especially the bass) but the lead vocalist dude kind of grates on me. Yet at the 59 second point of that video the female sings and it sounds like everything is right in the world, she has emotion and power... I wish it was just her.

Then that band would begin to approach pure magic like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_5DDkUFx3I&feature=player_embedded#!), they're so close.

This was my favourite remix of 2010. Dont like the original at all but I am a sucker for a decent dubstep remix.

I Am Not A Robot (Doorly Mix) - Marina & The Diamonds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LghkOhUYYnQ)

i need to revisit that album. I wasnt sure at first then hammered it for a few weeks and then i thought it was all a bit samey and not enough tracks. I still think Escape Velocity is 5 minutes too long but it does start brilliantly. when it stutters and then kicks in is top class.

exactly that-wasn't too keen at first-Escape Velocity starts off completely epically but needs to be shorter..i like that it goes a bit wobbly, but now i can quite happily listen through the whole thing fairly often and each listen i like it more. Swoon is pretty lush too-reckon it would be great live{the album, not just that song}

tbh i think after hearing EV at glasto on some dj stage on the saturday night and it went off when that got played that its never had the same impact for me since. i wish they would play live more but i think its going to be very infrequent still. i just think they got on a theme with further and stuck to it which after the very varied "We ar the night" was fair enough
