Just wanted to throw up a Big Thanks to the Beasties and this whole fan base for the inspiration that started back in 1987. From the very first Beastie Boys song I had ever heard, Slow and Low (on Power 99FM Philadelphia) to the wonderful album that I tried to discard but kept going back for more (Paul's Boutique), which eventually became the soundtrack of my teenage years and still is what I consider to be the most amazing Hip Hop album ever, to Check Your Head which opened me up again to a whole new world, and then the rest of the albums which kept me hanging on to the group that I will always call my number one band - The Beastie Boys. I even still love to type the letters that form the name :)
I also wanted to share a moment in time when I was so inspired by them that I stole the name Shadrach to be my MC name. You see, I had no real intentions of making it anywhere, but the boys gave me a true love of rhymes and beats that I couldn't shake. Sure, there were other hip groups that did it for me, but they pushed it to a whole different level artistically, and for that I will never forget them.
