Bob,
You must be proud today to be from one of the most liberal states in the US

^ can you please explain how, with all the gun laws on the books in Mass, that this guy had a gun?

Bob

he must have built it at home or something, i'm sure the gun laws are perfect

valvano

seriously, Mass has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. how did this guy get out of prison and get a gun in which he used to kill a cop near retirement? please, no smart ass answers.

Bob

You're own personal trolling just because you happen to live in a place where a crime was committed! People are getting really bored with the web recently it seems.

i sincerely wish it were just a troll but i really think he thought he was making a point :(

So is Valvano saying that this case demonstrates Americans should make it easier to get guns?

Because it presumably shows that American gun law is not tough enough, cause, you know, someone who really should not have had a gun, got one.

no, what vulvano is saying is that he is an idiot

Good thing it's not an election year... remember Willie Horton (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io9KMSSEZ0Y)? (I wonder if former governor and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will have anything to say.)

I don't know about MA, but other states are releasing prisoners, usually non-violent drug offenders and the elderly, to cut expenses from giant budget deficits.

Yup, I walk away from this thread thinking that the gun laws aren't tough enough still. Or that Mass is a really small and even if it doesn't have gun shops, you can drive a few hours to another state to get one or buy an illegal one from someone. The failure of our prison system to rehabilitate, the courts being overcrowded, the prisons being overcrowded, the shooters parents being a failure, the shooters surroundings being poor, the shooters education being lackluster, and liberals (for some reason??).

the live free or die state is just across the border. this guy certainly took that motto to heart

Well now, that motto only encourages such behavior. Where is the ACLU on this one?

IF there were no gun control laws it would have been even easier for him to commit this crime.

So your solution to the crime is to make easier to commit such crimes in the future?

"Someone managed to get a hold of anthrax and use it in a terrorist attack! Obviously the first thing we need to do is deregulate chemical weapons, so they can be purchased at every bodega and corner store. That ought to fix the problem of people using chemical weapons."

It's just common sense, really.

It always makes me laugh to think of valvano desperately cruising the FOX News website, earnestly seeking the one article that will finally, finally convince everyone on the BBMB that he's been right all along, finding something about gun control or Al Gore, putting up the link, and subsequently getting eviscerated, time after time after time. Isn't the repetition of the same task innumerable times with the constant expectation of a different result one definition of insanity? Or is it stupidity? Either way, valvano's got that shit nailed down.

I'm convinced vulvano is a plant - just to get people riled up. He doesn't post in any other forums, posts FOX material 99% of the time, and rarely participates in his own threads.

Now to the subject - This story is quite upsetting, an officer set to retire who never engaged in a gun exchange falls victim to a poorly handled parolee situation. Very much a wrong place at the wrong time situation, but that is the nature of this man's occupation. I don't know how firearm training goes, but I hope he was up to par with his

Yes this asshole should not been paroled, nor should he have access to a gun. But why blame liberals? It has been proven time and again that Conservatives are staunchly against strict government gun regulations....so why not blame them for supporting the "free-wheeling, gun-totin', wild west, toy-soldier" mentality that fuels the illegal gun trade and the undermining of gun laws?

I do believe the judge and the parole board should be questioned in this case undoubtedly.

He's been getting served in every thread he's posted in for what, like, 6 years now?

Jeez.

maybe he's trying a new tactic now, he's just going after one poster at a time

sorry valvano i don't mean to talk about you in the third person in your own thread but you do tend to disappear at this point in these threads
