Hey guys, I am new here.
Did anyone else here used to own Licensed to Ill on cassette? I did, it was one of the first pieces of music I ever owned. I had it the year it was released in 1986, I was 16.
Did anyone else here once have Licensed to Ill on cassette?
Just curious is all, thanks.

Yep. The first copy I had was one that I found in 1991 (I was in 1st grade) and the cassette was a tan color.

Yes. Sure did. I also had Paul's Boutique in every color they issued it in: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Grey, and Black... I think that was every color they issued it in... I also had PB in clear as well.

What was the color of the original LTI cassette? Was it the tan one that I got?

Nah, bought in on vinyl when it came out, still own that. Only BBoys release I ever bought on cassette was CYH, and that was only because it was the only format available in the shop I was in. Still got it though, nearly 19 years old.

Sort of tan... It was an Off-White color. As they aged, they looked more tan than white though.
Funny.. I used to love the smell of a new cassette. Maybe it was the liner that smelled unique... not sure. Pain in the butt when they would become unwound though.... I remember splicing them together after they would unwind from crappy players or dead batteries in the Walk-Man.

I had a kick ass stereo in the 80s and I would buy everything on vinyl then record my own cassette tapes to play in the car or on my walkman. The sound quality of my cassettes was a million times better than on prerecorded cassettes.

I purchased it in 1986 at Music Plus when I was 16. It was an off white color. I remember getting the 12" for She's On It thinking these guys were black.
