It's not quite as deep as I might have hoped but it's a fun 30 minutes of 80's-influenced pop rock.

my reactions to the frist moments of the opening track were.... what the fuck is this synth pop trash. we'll see how the rest goes.

yeah this is garbage. fucking drum machines and 80's production.

this completely goes against what the strokes use to represent.

what happened to that raw natural sound.

yep. they've totally lost any edge they had. so disappointing, first coupla songs make it seem like it's going to be on form but then just drivel. been such a long time coming as well

with respect to the first single "under cover of darkness", i couldn't really figure out if i liked it or hated it.

i sort of dug the verse work, the chorus was iffy, and i absolutely hated the bridge with those horrible chords that sounded like dying cats.



i'll have to search out some of the other tracks and see how they stack up. definitely not what i was expecting, that's one thing for sure
