Mike D on the Handsome Boy Modelling School Album is a nice one (computer speakers don't do this one justice)

4 Fly Guys of course

Spam is okay. What are people's picks?

I can't get with the Handsome Boy one since it's just talking. To me it's like calling the Little Radio show a freestyle, but to each their own.

New Style 92 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DNMOlMXDIk) has always been one of my favourites. Same with Kickin Wicked Rhymes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbroxaMRTOw). Also, The Vibes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN4ijd9z8HE), particularly since it was sampled on Sure Shot.

The Mixmaster Mike bonus re-do of Slow and Low from the Hello Nasty sessions (specifically, it sounds like it was done 15 minutes before 3 Mcs was laid down) should be on there but it doesn't seem to be on youtube. Oh well.

ya that Handsome boy cut was a bit sad..now that I type this and am playing it in my head I wonder if that is the same sample that is in 1982's people are running..but anywho...

Love the Vibes somehow had never heard of it before the re-releases so that was pretty exciting.

MVP of the unsung hero songs is Dope Little Song...

Also...i'd really love to know the story about how that old Intergalactic version came out because that rocks...where did it come from and how do we get moarrrrrrr

I'll third The Vibes. Probably in my top 5ive Beastie tunes.
Skills To Pay The Bills
E-Ticket Ride is still fun.
And I love Squat.

they were supposed to release a cd rom that toured GSon in '96....the original version was on there....

my vote is prof booty....although it was released on 12in i don't think it was a singler per say....

"And then I " really got to me. I think "Imma be" kind of ripped it off.

prof booty was released on 12"... It came with a free drunk elephant sticker.

Love the vibes, squat, 4 fly guys, metaphysical, and ummm... cant think right now. How about boomin granny?

i always kinda felt the same about 'metaphysical' as i do about 'dedication'; ruthless groove, though completely compromised by mike yapping over it (no offense mike, :o).

i tend to favor their instrumental b-sides more than any. never understood why 'honky rink', 'son of neckbone', and 'peanut butter and jelly' never made the final album cuts.

'stick'em up' is very ill.

I was talking about the super deep cuts stuff that's not on the albums, and not on the singles. So, for example, since the Vibe's is a B-Side from the Sure Shot single I wouldn't count that one.

Kickin' Wicked Rhymes is pretty good. I missed that one somehow.

Metaphyiscial is the shit. Classic Mike D. Ripe flavor.

What in the fuck is E TICKET RIDE?

...and SOME DUMB COP GAVE ME TWO TICKETS ALREADY. Belongs in the Boomin' Granny/Netty's Girl Category. Just weird, obscene, and pretty great. How did that one leak anyway? If it's on a single I'm disqualified, but still...

Its on the shadrach single. Although your signature is extrordinary so youre not disqualified just yet...

Personally i love me some horovitz remix/b-side action. Paper planes remix & you + me together are two of my favorites.

Yeah, I almost forgot about Flavor. Love that Les McCann Layers sample. I saw John Spencer open up for the Beasties and they killed it (in a good way).

I liked all the stuff Ad-Rock did with The Teriyaki Boyz.
