All I can say is that "meth mouth" is a real thing.

I started watching Breaking Bad and thought the same, on mid season two now and it all seems like a pretty positive thing to do helping cancer patients

Does anyone know of a successful recovery story? a girl i met recently said she finished rehab 4 years ago but still suffers some side effects.

well, Breaking Bad isn't about USING meth for cancer patients!! Dude just needed cash!

if psychosis and rotting teeth are up your alley, go ahead and smoke up!

I dated a guy who was in N.A. after being 10 years clean from meth. So, yes, ya can kick it. But I wouldn't exactly say he was a model citizen.

I found out we were broken up when he didn't visit me while I was recovering from surgery, and (a week later) a mutual friend told me he'd married an N.A. chick he'd met the week of my surgery. Oh, and they each had kids.(y)(y)

this still rubs you the wrong way clearly.

it sucks no doubt. they probably had a bond because of the N.A. thing.

Perfect. Thank you. sorry to hear about the rest of the post.....

Any anxiety problems or violent outbursts from him?

heh. the only violent outburst was me, when i found out how he'd dumped me. -> my friend told me as i was driving, i started cursing and yelling and then immediately a car hit mine, and then i road-rage chased him for a few blocks til i snapped out of it. oh, and it was NY eve.

oops! :o(n)

nah, that was MANY years ago, i just use it now as "one of teja's CRAZY bf stories."

I knew him when he was 10 years clean. But from his recollection, he said he had a bad temper when he was using. When I knew him, I'd say he was pretty intense and maybe kinda obsessive/compulsive-ish. Chain smoker, workaholic. He grew up in one part of the country and had to move away, cut himself off from his past, to help stay clean, cuz all the old people/family/baggage dragged him back into using.

Ask about the recovering cokehead bf with the rebuilt nose!

So I've just finished Season 2 of Breaking Bad. Hooked. I love that I still have a season to watch. My joke about crystal meth helping cancer patients was a joke, I know it's all about making cash and the consequences of such a way.

My dad had lung cancer so that is the hardest part to watch for me but to comment on the drug part. You don't see many advocating it like you do pot, alcohol or coke. I remember the Louis Theroux, The City Addicted To Crystal Meth (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1712046) episode was excellent. I bet that is a fair reflection on the heavy use of it - so watch it if you haven't already. I doubt I'd ever try it and I don't have such an addictive personality - but some things you know to not ever bother with.

Go to youtube and search for "The Faces of Meth" and tell me what you think. And then watch the movie SPUN with Brittany Murphy and John Leguizamo.
