Chemical Brothers go in and out for me, depending on what album it is.

Their older stuff, like Dig Your Own Hole, I really dig. I'm a big fan of their mixtape CD too (Brothers Gonna Work It Out). Their stuff from Push the Button and things similar... not a fan of really. Other later albums I enjoyed where Come With Us and the last one I bought... which came out in 2007(?), I think it's called We Are the Night.

So, it'll be interesting to see what the Hanna soundtrack is like. I kinda wanna see the movie too, actually...

wank's a bit strong. it was a mixed bag, i think it signalled a definite change in direction, all their albums after come with us have had a lot more variety on until Further which is yeah a bit of a throwback and all of a similar theme. only problem with further is that it isnt long enough

on first full listen, i really like it. I will go and see the film now and see if it makes sense but its good. nothing too mental, very atmospheric but a couple of blinding riffs/beats in there. I swear i heard an Abba sample.

I know its obvious to compare with Daft punks tron effort but it definitely feels that the chems have used the less is more policy whereas Tron felt very over the top. It was good but chems have seemed to get moods from just one noise or effect at times on this album and i think thats a skill the punk didnt master on Tron. Hopefully it doesnt drown the film and hopefully the film isnt shit.
