Went to Chicago a few months back and got these (http://bbs.beastieboys.com/showthread.php?t=95177) suggestions.

Kingston Mines was awesome for blues! We also had lots of fun at Second City. If you want the best deep dish pizza, go to Lou Malnati's!!

Thanks.

Here is my list... so far....

Kingston Mines for Blues

The Green Mill for Jazz

see the bean. hug the bean.

Delilah's. 400+ whiskeys. GO.

Architectual Boat Tour. Cold but awesome & touristy.
Cocktails at the top of the Hancock Observatory. Also toursity but awesome.
The Art Institute of Chicago is great and there are a few other little galleries in the area.

Wrigley Field but the season will be over... hmm.

Does Sarky still live there?

Favorite Dive bars in Trendy area.

The Fireside Bowl- Everyone should go and have a shot and a beer there once!

The Exit: A dive but a blast

oh yeah, and eat pizza at Exchequer! do it!

don't go to Giordano's, it blows hard. so so hard.

if you go to Kumas, a cool place called Longman and Eagle is nearby. and down the road a bit is a placed called Cole's that has art and music with no cover. There are other brand new bars in the area to check out. Logan Square is the neighborhood, and where I live. It's become quickly very popular much to my delight/chagrin. :/ damn kids and their haircuts!

downtown near Millenium Park there's a dive place called Old Timer's that is pretty fun to drink at, but it may be temporarily closed

Let's see, Lager House is kinda fun. Loud, and full of rock and rollers.

Oh, if you rent bikes at Navy Pier, you can ride down the lakeshore trail and around on the prairie at Northerly Island. It's near the Planetarium and Soldier Field. Very pretty. Perhaps a bit chilly, but you never know, sometimes it's still nice out that time of year.

And actually, I'd advise against The Exit...unless you are into industrial music or want a good laugh and/or to laugh and dance, and then be ridiculed by very serious goths in the upstairs part. It's just kinda meh otherwise. But down the road kind of hidden is a neato place called The Hideout that has pretty good shows.

I stand behind these statements:

Kingston Mines for Blues
The Green Mill for Jazz
hopleaf
check out iO (Improv Olympic)

Don't go to Navy Pier or that Bean shit.

La Pasadita for Tacos
www.loumalnatis.com for deep dish
jimmythescumbag.com for mustache rides
https://www.fantasycostumes.com/Default.aspx if you need Halloween crap.

see derrick rose and the bulls, and go to some blues clubs.

How long will you be in town?

We're doing a May 5th/Cinco De Mayo Hot Sauce CD Release Party (Unofficial) at Copa Lounge.

More details and RSVP on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=125191880891830)

Otherwise, I've DJ'd at Delilah's, small rock club. I agree, check that out. These days I'm over at Copa on Thursdays, spinning everything from Hip-hop to Rock.
