from the main site:

Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission. They held their secret tightly. On may 3rd the HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART TWO will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens.

Just as I suspected...they picked May 3rd in honor of Levi Johnston's birthday.

It's also the 74th anniversary of Gone With The Wind winning a pulitzer prize so once again, the Beasties have perfect timing!!!

Thank you, thank you! Had tickets to the last tour which was canceled. But tour or no tour, I can't wait for the new album. Maybe a calm acoustic/intimate set at Amoeba records :p don't push Yauch too hard. I am soooo excited!

The wait is over, again: Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, Beastie Boys' long anticipated eighth album, will be released May 3 by Capitol in the U.S.

After going back and mixing the album one last time, the final sequence of the forthcoming HSC Part Two has now been confirmed as:

1. Make Some Noise
2. Nonstop Disco Powerpack
3. OK
4. Too Many Rappers [new reactionaries version] (featuring NAS)
5. Say It
6. The Bill Harper Collection
7. Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win (featuring Santigold)
8. Long Burn The Fire
9. Funky Donkey
10. The Larry Routine
11. Tadlock's Glasses
12. Lee Majors Come Again
13. Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament
14. Here's A Little Something For Ya
15. Crazy Ass Shit
16. The Lisa Lisa/Full Force Routine

Hot Sauce Committee Part Two was produced by Beastie Boys and mixed by Philippe Zdar. The new record will mark Mike "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "Ad Rock"
Horovitz and Adam "MCA" Yauch's first full length effort since 2007's Grammy-winning all-instrumental The Mix-Up.

Where's that new track listing from? Looks like they've reworked the order of the songs and replaced a couple "old" tracks with newer ones. I don't remember THE LARRY ROUTINE or THE LISA LISA/FULL FORCE ROUTINE! Very interesting. I have a feeling we'll get a whole slew of B-sides from this record.

ahh where the fuck is b-boys in the cut? it's my favourite of what we have heard!

It'll be the Larry Routine.

Correct, because it is no longer from "the Summer before last..."

dave790

It'll be the Larry Routine.

i think the larry routine will just be the larry routine segment. don't get me wrong, i'm still excited, but if it's gone then it's...well, you know, a song you like, it's nice to have a proper version. not some rough estimation of how the song should be mixed played over and over on youtube.

edit: and also, where is this track-listing from anyway? all the other reports stick the standard one, which was in the original 'part two is part one' e-mail. hmmm

Rodie

It's on Nasty Little Man (http://www.nastylittleman.com/) so it's definitely legit. Looks like we also lost Pop Your Balloon. Like someone else said hopefully finalized versions end up as B-Sides.

Hold tight though; I don't see them scrapping it to turn it into another skit. It's probably more to do with the hook (which was underwhelming and also referred to MCA's "Dying day"). We'll have to wait and see. Equally, that break in Pop your Balloon is possibly the Full Force Routine. My first thought isn't towards inserting two 45 second non-sequiturs; I think the verses and some of the music will be intact, just the focus of each song shifted to a different element. Possible? Well if there is a HSC pt. 1 then maybe Pop Your Balloon and B-Boys in the cut will be on there. I do hope if there is a pt. 1 that they will retain the original artwork because I like it a lot more than pt. 2's cover.

my track list is from the Nasty Little Man email....Lisa Lisa Cult Jam put out 'Head to Toe'...that was my jam back in the day! guido did some work with them recently....
Full Force is a harmonizing crew from back in the day....they make appearances on other records (UTFO - Beats & Rhymes bka da shiz!). they also had a hit with Alice...another grade school jam!

i'll miss PYB, but not BBITC!

And CJ Hood is totally right, Lisa Lisa made some dope freestyle records back in the day.

i must say i feel the opposite. Pop your balloon sounded like a real live banger, while BBITC may be better off dead. that said, i sure hope the finalized versions of both of these surface sooner than later. easter eggs perhaps?

Well for me having a release of Pop Your Balloon on the internet doesn’t really give me the full effect of the song. It sounded way too demo-ish and the quality wasn’t great. It’s a bit of a bummer but I’ll live. My idea is that in the future when the first part of HS is released POP will be on it and it might even be remixed.

I was so anticipating the final-mixed-Zdar-tweaked versions of "Pop Your Balloon" and "B-Boys In The Cut."

I'm pretty sure it would sound exactly the same on the record as the version you've been listening to. I dont think they would give EA Sports the right to use a shitty-sounding demo for the soundtrack of NBA Live 10.

initially there was a part two planned. i'm just saying that it wouldn't surprise me if a follow up record follows sometime after. if it doesn't, then fine, i was post-vault and never understood the gala dvd to be a definite release anyway, so i'm not hung up on this 'oooh they announce shit all the time that never happens.' but i still think it's safe to assume there will be a part one, aka the original part two which was planned, in the future.

i don't think that means i, nor anyone, is having a difficult time understanding what the new record is.

Guy Incognito
03-15-2011, 04:02 PM
maybe i missed a meeting but i just thought that people assumed there could be a part two purely on the fact that there was a part one.

also, if there were other songs that did form another part of HSC, i can pretty much guarantee that if they do get released its title with have nothing to do with hot sauce or committees.

i dunno, p. production-wise im sure it would be the same, but sonically it's far below commercial par and even further below beastie par. the version circulating is "shitty" sounding through and through. and i wouldn't assume that reflects the beasties' doing so much as it was mangled in the ripping process. i mean, in reality, i doubt EA would even accept such weak sound-quality from anybody, regardless of notoriety.

there's no way the 'pop your balloon' we know represents the 'official' mixdown of the track. unless i've somehow overseen a better quality version that's out there, but im pretty sure im up to speed on that (i hope).

where did the 'pop your balloon' we have come from anyhow?

I don't have the NBA live 10 and it’s my understanding the version released online is copies from that EA thing. I just don’t think it would sound as good as having the actual CD is all I'm saying. I waited figuring it would be on the CD. oh well.

The speculation on there being 2 parts wasn't/isn't just based on the fact that it was labeled "pt.1"

From the beginning when HSC was announced, they had mentioned a pt 2 that would be released later.

ok but on previous form that's not exactly conclusive proof, they may have been playing games

dave790
03-15-2011, 05:11 PM
no one has said it's conclusive proof. i just think some people are still expecting another part, i am, and i think it's fair enough. as has been posted, they said - mike i think - that a part two was basically done and dusted. there's a bob dylan sampling track. if he was chatting bollocks then okay, but i'll take my chances.

If Biz really was recording with them in February then they may be re-tooling and culling their existing backlog of tracks and adding others to release something, as Guy said, that has nothing to do with Hot Sauce or Committees. I figured there'd never be a part 1.

I can't wait to pick it up on vinyl May 3rd and make a day out of it. Dim the lights, fire up the surround-sound, smoke, sip a Bloody Mary, explore the packaging, and just get lost in it.

Track 10 is called "The Larry Routine". Obviously this is a remix version of B-Boys in the Cut. If you recall, they do the "my name is larry" routine during the song.

I can't imagine the Lisa Lisa song being "Pop Your Balloon". This has to be a new song.

The 'new reactionaries remix' in the new 'Too Many Rappers' title must surely be related to Zdar's 'new reactions manifesto' mention that mike posted on the front page.

that is all.
