Awesome! I hope they beat FSU, so we don't have to hear about how the ACC is so great and that they should've had more teams in the tourney.

my college actually made it into the tournament and won the first game! woo hoo go mason! but then they lost to ohio state (no surprise there)
of course it helped my bracket to have them win that first one (and lose the 2nd)

:D

Hopefully my Rams can continue to play great on Friday night.

There are two teams from Richmond still alive and if they both win (Virginia Commonwealth vs. Florida St & Richmond vs. Kansas) they would match up to go to the final four.

I went to VCU and my wife is a University of Richmond graduate. (y)

Thanks for the congratulations because it is a good feeling when your so called mid-major school proves critics wrong and gets national attention.

Little J knows something about that because her George Mason Patriots made it to the Final Four one year. Our teams are in the same conference, the Colonial Athletic Association, and people need to know that this conference has some serious ballers.

My university made the final four once, but they took it away later on.

i went to uconn and i was there when everyone rioted because the men won the tournament. a bunch of people got pepper sprayed and a girl got pushed into a fire. a lot of people took pictures of the riot, like people lighting cars on fire and stuff, and posted them on facebook and the dean was all "if anyone recognizes any of the people in these photos, please give me their names so we can suspend them for being riotous cunts" though not in those words of course. a girl also got her face smashed in by a keg somebody threw but that might not have been the basketball riot, that might have just been a frat party. anyway the daily show made fun of us for the whole thing, which i liked

shortly after that the women won too and there were some half-assed attempts to get another riot going because hey why not but everyone was still sore from the last one

people keep congratulating me around this time of year for having a degree from a school with a great basketball team but to be honest i keep forgetting to be proud of it. why did i even bother going to school if i'm not gonna be proud of the basketball team

my good friend went to uconn at that time. he was/is still all about uconn bball and football. i think during one of the football games one of his good friends got pepper sprayed in the face for rushing the field. you havent lived until that happens man let me tell you.

storming the field/court for anything less than the ultimate championship for said league is absolutely retarded

ah yeah, i think i was there for that too. not at that game, but i remember people talking about it

our football team had just recently become notable and we'd just recently got a new field so we were apparently itching for any excuse at all to rush the field

to never have the chance to rush a field, and then suddenly to have a chance at rushing a field...well you take it.

Haha. Too many turds in the hallway. I lived in Longanecker, but yeah, smoked a ton of pot. I guess it helped with my philosophy degree.

Look at the brains on Digi. Kenyon is supposed to be an excellent school. Shaka turned down Harvard, Yale and Brown to attend Kenyon. He did marry a Harvard girl.
Can you believe this improbable VCU run? I have been having a blast partying with the students at bars during the games and in the streets after the games. Sunday morning I welcomed them home at 1:30 am with 5,500 other maniacs.
I hope they can pull off the miraculous.... impossible ....... Improbable.... and win the whole damn thing.

Oh, my bad. He went to Kenyon and you said where he started his coaching career. You went to California University in Pennsylvania? He followed his former Kenyon coach to that school. Shaka is a good man and we have been lucky to have him although it might not be for long. All of our coaches get wins and leave. Capel went to Oklahoma (recently fired) and Anthony Grant to Bama where hemhas his team in the NIT finals.

Correct, sir. "Harvard on the Mon."

I'm pulling for them, dude. I love the story. All the analysts shitting on the selection committee for putting them in and now they're in the Final Four. It's just a shame they have to play Butler. I wish the 2 small schools were each playing one of the big boys to increase the chances of another small school in the championship game. I like their chances, though. It's been a crazy tournament and the little guys have had a very difficult time laying down. If a small school ever had a chance to win it all, it's this year. I'm a rabid Pitt fan, so I watch a lot of Big East basketball. UConn's a one dimensional team. If you can take Walker out of the mix, they're screwed. I personally don't think they're THAT great of a team. They've had a few games this season where they shit the bed against teams they had no business losing to. Calhoun just has them playing well at the right time.
