I'm a recent convert, I dont tweet much, i dont see the point in a no-mark like me letting people know what i am upto but its good to see what people are upto and some genuinely funny stuff is on there and its a bit less full on than fb. There are a lot of good links posted by all kinds of people

Does anybody here dabble? I'm not asking for your user names or to follow you, i find it a little weird when people at my work try and follow me on there. Just wondered if you guys liked it and could recommend any good people to follow.

I do twitter more than facebook now, which I find quite boring. Twitter's what you make it--like most things I guess, but the timeline is always updating. I think I found out about the Japanese earthquake through twitter.

Ummm I dunno if I recommend anyone in particular. I follow a lot of people--friends, newspeople and celebrated types.

I don't care if you see who I follow: http://twitter.com/#!/DeltaF508/following :)

I'll tell you something tho, Stephen Fry is a very boring person to follow. I unfollowed him once and then felt bad so refollowed him again.

I love twitter, following you all now, me --> http://twitter.com/gee80

Twitter is less intrusive than facebook, the 140 characters feeds my short attention span to. Forces people to get to the point but at the same time it's easier to ignore.

I say look through who your friends are following - if some are being followed by a few of your followers or those you follow, it's probably worth following, there is a few from here I already follow. Stephen Fry bored me too, I tend to unfollow those who tweet too much, becomes spam far too quickly.

yeah i kind of couldn't stand his tweets. they were basically a list of places i'd never been to or people i'd never met or things i'd never heard of. it's like finding a stranger's vacation photos, you have no context for any of it

peter serafinowicz, on the other hand, is amazing

@Glinner (http://twitter.com/#!/Glinner) is fun to follow for me. It's Graham Linehan who writes Father Ted, The IT Crowd, Big Train and Black Books

he is good but he is one of those annoying buggers who probably tweets too much and says hello in morning etc, bit unneccessary but yes, good links and very funny.

he doesn't tweet enough in my opinion, i'm always happy when i see one of his in my feed. he does say good morning and occasionally good night but that's like what, once a day? better than nick frost tweeting forever about what he's cooking (or worse, retweeting what other people say they're cooking) or something

I have a major Twitter addiction. I follow porn stars, musicians, sports figures, etc. I get most of my news from Twitter now.

yeah i think nick frost may go in the cull, i like his work but yes i dont particularly want to know about everytime he goes to the fridge to get a beer. and when he was watching a football match was very annoying.

:D I'm overdue a cull! I'm a bit of a comping addict and for the competitions you have to follow then retweet. I then go through all the random people/companies and unfollow them once the comp has ended.

You can go through the people you follow and bung them into lists such as "music", "film" etc. Then you can just read the tweets from the people on those lists if you so wish.

Online competitions! I must enter tons, and i do win quite a bit. Won a £2K hoiday last year, an alarm for our house, loads of DVDs, CDs etc. It's highly addictive....:D

it was fucking mental at work today, we all chucked in two quid and did a syndicate then somebody checked that if we were to win that we would have to pay inheritance tax unless we drew up an agreement of some sort, so at 3 o clock today i was signing a proper document that everyone agreed to , all to win two thirds of fuck all

I've thought about making an effort for entering competitions but I do dislike spam. Maybe I should make a mule account like I have email to do things like that, hmmms. I WANT FREE STUFF!

And the listing thing I think was an effort by twitter to make a popularity league table thing but it doesn't work well in my opinion. I split you guys up into a BBMB folder for example but it's not up to date, I never check it separately.

Must admit <100 followers is my limit. I often cull when I turn on my phone and there has been 100+ updates within a couple of hours. Those avatars I see the most are generally the ones I'll get rid of.

BTW all my friends from here on FB, I didn't mean that you were boring, just in case anyone thought that, I just mean that twitter constantly updates like a news feed, a world news feed. So by comparison FB is a bit static.

I tweet, but rarely. Even tho I follow way too many I rarely check the tweets, maybe once or twice a week. There's too much unnecessary information, but a few times I've caught some interesting things. I don't have Twitter on my phone at all, that would ruin my day. Facebook is taking too much time as it is, and I've noticed I don't even get all the newsfeed on my phone...

I also take part in loads of competitions, but I don't win that often. I used to win much more, when you had to send postcards and stuff. The best I've won is from MTV, a two-day trip to Dublin to see Therapy? live, staying in the poshest hotel in Dublin and all expenses paid.
I've got a seperate e-mail adress for competition, as a lot of spam is expected. I've even got a seperate adress for facebook, and guess what? Not a single spam has come to that adress!

I used to tweet, but the fun of it wore off pretty quickly.
At first I mainly used it to follow certain celebs (Glinner and Serafinowicz and David Mitchell and Charlie Brooker and whatnot...) and to store weird things that I heard being said around me.
Then I started to communicate with crazy fan-people on saturday-mornings while listening to a live radioshow...
Then the show quit, so I quit... but as the show starts again on saturday I might take a peek on the twitter thing again...

Although I have to watch what i'm saying now, as my mum has discovered it.
She mainly tweets about food and trains. :D

I use to tweet a lot but I am sorta bored of it now. I do it every few days. I think what turned me off to it is the trending topics. People are so dumb and the discussions annoy me. Half of the topics I don't even know who or what they are about.
