I once edged out Muhammad Ali for a parking spot.

When I got out of my car he made that famous face he does where he bites his bottom lip and waved his fist at me.

Met Joe Frazier a bunch of times too.

I was walking around NYC with a friend back in 2003. We noticed people with headsets on and they were telling us to "move along." I looked to my right and saw Mary Kate and Ashley Olson sitting in the front seat of a taxi. I screamed like a little girl. Guess they were filming the classic flick "New York Minute."

Ian Brown - came in to electrical shop where i worked to buy a fridge for his mum, he is my total hero and i got totally scared and ran into stockroom as i didnt want to be a dick in front of him or him to be a twat. BAsically i completely bottled it but my mate got his autograph for me.

I've worked with a number of "talent." Florence Henderson was awesome.

Working at a Studio, I've seen plenty of fame walking around. Some feel that they are going to live forever.

I've gotten Berry Zito's autograph, Buster Posey and Bruce Bochy smiled and waved *only Bochy* at me. I got a pic with Kareem Abdul Jabbar. I also got to see Matty Lloyd when they payed tribute to him when he retired, and got to meet two guys who I don't even know from the Tigers (I can't stand them, ugh) since it was charity BBQ and we took our brother in law to it. The guys were nice and signed his cap (he isn't even a Tigers fan lol) but still it was sweet and we all got a pick with them. They were cute tho. I also saw Sam Newman from the Footy show on my way to work but he's a dickhead.

I was pissed off cos it was a hot night and I wanted to gt some ice cream only to find the place swamped with people cos Benjamin Bratt was there. Pssshh...

Oh and I skated past Robin Williams' house once and saw Richard Gere and Jody Foster at a KFC.

I live in LA so I've "brushed" with lots of random famous people and seen them here or there. People I've actually met, shook hands/taken photos with:

Ted Leo
Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney/Wild Flag/Portlandia)
Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney/Wild Flag/Quasi/etc.)
Stephen Colbert (he was so sweet and awesome)
Jay Leno ()
Sean Lennon
Vincent Gallo (he and Sean were together at Coachella)
Jared Leto
Jeff Fucking Goldblum
Patton Oswalt (used to shop at a store I worked at, he's a really great dude)
Zach Galifianakis
a bunch of other musicians and comics I can't think of right now

I went to the Emmys last year so I saw a shitload of pretty big names. Kim K, Rainn Wilson, etc.

probably the biggest stars i've been in really close proximity to were Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz when they were dating. They wandered into a little shoe boutique i was in, and as soon as they left everyone in there screamed OMG and took their phones out.

the "fucking" is because he is JEFF FUCKING GOLDBUM. the man is a legend. "fucking" as in i fucking love him. copy/pasta from my fb:

When I was 13, I had the opportunity to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain AND Hurricane Harbor for FREE with my brother, his girlfriend at the time, and her little sister (with whom I was very close). It was a charity event, and lots of celebrities and local philanthropists etc. were there.

At any rate, there we were - a full day of FREE rides, waterslides, food, and celebrity interaction. I saw Eric Idle! We got stuck in line for Superman: The Escape with Kevin Nealon! Kobe Bryant was a smiley rookie!

And then, mid-day, there was an event on a bridge in the waterpark. The celebrities were gathering and being introduced/saying a few words or whatever. And there he was.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/59337_663255603596_30510461_36185905_5101370_n.jpg

Goldblum.

I was (and still am) a huge fan, as was anyone that had seen Jurassic Park (so, everyone). I particularly loved The Fly, as its science-y horror creepfest was right up my pubescent alley. Naturally, I was eager to meet the man. He towered above practically everyone, and seemed to glow a bit as if lit from behind, or even within. Either way, I locked my eyes on Dr. Malcolm and elbowed my way through the crowd to meet the man.

I've never been shy about meeting celebrities, but of course always respect their privacy if they're in a less public setting. I didn't disturb Tony Hale while he was shopping at the Glendale Whole Foods, but I may have followed him down every aisle doing the Mr. Roboto dance. In this case, however, Goldblum was prime meet-and-embarrass-self-in-front-of material. I may have had a teensy crush on him - hey, 13-year-old girls are confused about men - but I don't remember for certain.

Finally, I made it to the bridge. There he was. Breathless, I smiled and eagerly reached out (rather, up) my hand. He took it in his and smiled graciously. I blurted out the first thing that came to mind:

Me: I really loved you in The Fly.

Jeff: Why thank you!

Me: That part where you barfed on the donut was great.

Jeff: ... (confused grunt, awkward smile and continued handshake, pat on the shoulder and move along)

Me: (immediate, extremely painful remorse for the rest of my life)

one time I flew to LAX with Dian Keaton.... both our luggage got stuck at the top of that convayer belt that comes from the roof. the belt broke and we were the only 2 waiting on luggage. The 2 of us waited about 20 minutes and then she climbed up the conveyor belt and got my luggage for me.

the whole time SW air worker were yelling ..."you cant do that"

and she was saying "I shouldn't have to ... if you would do it"

Before the flight, her kid Cutter was playing with Ava. Diann was picking up her son from a camp in Santa Fe

Of course I knew who she was right away, but my wife would not let me talk to her/bother her.

Also Sat next to Tommy Lee Jones watching Talladega Nights while he was in town filming No Country for Old Men. Again, I wanted to get a picture and my wife made me get out and all I got to say was good to see you.......

I got a few more, but I am sure thats good for now.......

monkhouse came into the record shop I worked at in th early 90's and a few years later when I was a courier I delivered some paintings to his house just a few miles from me.his wife answered the door though.he might have been having a shit or something.

yeah,I met David Prowse dressed as Darth Vader as he made his way to a bookstore where he signed pics dressed as David Prowse but it was good that he dressed as Lord Vader and shook lots of people's hand on the way.I was about 9 at the time and I don't think I've ever been as excited since.

At uni today i was having cake with two of my friends and i saw my year 12 english teacher sitting across the cafe. he was the best teacher i ever had and taught me to love learning. he's my hero. and no there's no weird school girl crush involved. i got starstruck and couldn't go over and speak to him and whispered and blushed to my friends until he walked past and spoke to me.
one of my friends pointed out i need to improve my approach in this situation if i'm going to be best friends with kathleen hanna one day.:o
