No more reggae snippets from Mike D, no more pictures of Michael Jordan with a Hitler mustache, no more Knicks highlights. That stuff is fine during the dog days of a hiatus, but it's time to start catering to the fans.

Come on, we're less than a month away. Sweeten the anticipation B-Boys!!

I'm talking: new press photos, candid shots from the O-scope, song previews, a peak at the liner notes, the new Beastie font (if there is one), some video of the Beasties performing new stuff in the studio, interview snippets, etc.

I'm with ya. We're 4 weeks away!

Here's what we got so far. Building in LA painted with album cover and 4 dudes, 30 second snippet on Amazon, Best Buy T-shirt/CD combo pack, and a slightly different 30 second snippet on popcrush.com And some tweets that some radio stations will be playing Make Some Noise song and video this week.

Did I miss anything?

Not feelin' the Uptown Ranking? It's one of those if you don't have it you need it type things, but I already have it so I don't really need it.

They should post the snippets like they did back when Intergalactic was being anticipated. Like a dork, I sat by the computer with a tape recorder and pieced together each snippet so I could hear it in my car, it took awhile back in the days of 56k dialup.

this seems to be their MO of late.

We're going to wake up in a day, a week and this whole site will be redesigned and there will be shit everywhere and we'll all be taken by surprise and get a rush from an unspoiled look at their new manifest.

That doesn't happen much into todays' world so I'm grinnnnnnnnnnin' and bearing it it the knowledge that this too will pass

eh, everyone loves a little action, but let's not forget that even the present is much more interaction than most groups offer their fans. let's not get greedy.

I agree to some extent but the guys just have their own way of doing things. Also I don’t expect a whole lot with Yauch still not feeling well so I will be happy with whatever they give. In fact the album is enough. They could have just waited even longer. I’d rather just enjoy the album and hope for some great interviews but then the rest if they gotta wait another year for Yauch then so be it. People will be ready to see them whether its now or another year from now.

In case you haven't noticed the music business is dead.
No one wants to spend any money on this shit anymore.
You're getting an album in a month, be happy(y)

I'll deal...but it's just like having Christmas without singing carols throughout the month of December; like having a four-course dinner without the amuse bouche; like having a main event without an undercard; like having a gala without a red carpet ceremony; like having a burrito without the nacho chips and salsa.

I just want a lil' sumthin' to whet my appetite.

Are you actually in Tokyo? I lived there earlier this year before the earthquake. I will be mad if there is a large Hot Sauce Committee advertisement in Shibuya Square for this album and I miss it.

Yeah, I'm in Tokyo. Things are getting somewhat normal again, but it's still quite dark because of power issues. I haven't been to Shibuya recently, I hope they put something HSCPt2-related there. If I see it I'll snap it(y)

At least it's starting to get back to normal. It was strange the first few days after the quake, that's for sure. I hope you weren't up high in an office building in Shinjuku. That would have been frightening.

Well, my office is on the 22nd floor, luckily I was out when the big one hit, but the aftershocks up here are pretty scary man
