Everyone see the iTunes pre-order, includes Pop Your Balloon, B-Boys in the Cut and Fight for your Right Video/Movie.

Make Some Noise is 244 VBR on Amazon and iTunes is 256 no VBR, Passion Pit remix from this site is 320 no VBR.

I'm so confused, which would be the best quality?

There has to be a reason why previews are not available anywhere.

Maybe there is a different strategy for marketing?

It makes me feel like asking the question in this pic:

Do you mean kbps? The Make Some Noise I got from Amazon was 320kbps. I don't know if it is VBR or CBR or what. Although there are two different Make Some Noise Explicits on Amazon for some reason. What's weird about Amazon is that their mp3s must be even more compressed or something, because back when TMR came out I bought the mp3 from amazon and it was about 7mb 320kbps. Later I bought the mp3 on Zune software to see if there was a difference and it was the same bitrate but the Zune version was 10mb.

The MSN I bought from Amazon is also smaller than the other 320kbps version I had from a leak even though it's the same bitrate(though the leak version could have easily just been encoded into that from the youtube video or whatever source it came from).

This is a night-mare, I want the CD single to buy. I mean I have the promo coming at the end of the month but that’s at the end of the month. Why can’t I just buy the CD single? I don’t want an MP3 because I don’t want to put it on an IPOD and I don’t want to burn it, I want the CD.

End rant. I guess I won’t have my way.

damn digital age.

BURN IT TO A CD.

I know I have no choice. ;)

But it does not change my annoyance!

i second that sentiment. unless your itunes just automatically opens up at midnight and downloads the album itself I really don't understand either, prez.

BURN IT TO A CD.

CD has lossless quality though. An mp3 burned on cd isn't the same thing.

There had been cases of mp3s running short. No jk. I think it is a sham to not own some sort of physical form of a NEW BEASTIE BOYS ALBUM anyways. I don't understand buying an mp3 album online when the full beautiful lossless CD exists and can always be re-ripped in case your shit get's deleted.

[QUOTE=jayjacobson16;1757118]Do you mean kbps? The Make Some Noise I got from Amazon was 320kbps. QUOTE]

Yeah the Amazon version I got is 244 kbps variable, that is really pretty crappy if there is a 320 kbps version that I somehow didn't get. Honestly both the iTunes version and Amazon version sound exactly the same, which is good but the rip from the whatever-free-version almost sounds just as good.

When the TMR was released I purchased the iTunes version first, but I recall thinking something sounded wrong which I think we had a discussion about on the boards, so I purchased the Amazon version also and the Amazon version sounded much better and that is the one I kept, hence the double-buy of MSN. Still....the vinyl rip of the instrumental sounded way better than all of them ha-ha.

Whatever, sorry this is just a bit of pickiness that probably has nothing to do with anything except my own ears and car stereo and ear buds....but damn that vinyl rip instrumental sounds nice!

The one I got is the first link. It should tell you if you bought it on top of the page. I'm assuming that's why we got different qualities maybe. I don't know if these are actually different though but this is the only reason I can imagine.
