Seen season 2 as well now. Actually, I think I have one episode to go. It's pretty good.

Injured and unemployed is no good for me. I've drank so much last couple of weeks.

I've drank so much last couple of weeks.

Stay away from the beer before bed, you'll end up with a beer gut like me.....

Already have a beer gut - have since 16 (y) But I've been drinking whisky and blended to :( I always say when I down grade my whisky from single malts to blended I know I either on the start or I am already in a drinking problem.

Well the last bottle went last night and I'm gonna avoid buying any more. It's drinking alone which is a rubbish habit of mine.

I usually drink alone. It's not too often, however, it is usually alone. I find I am a truly enjoyable and entertaining drunk, and extremely good looking too.(y)

Well my boredom has spilled over into rejoining a dating site I was on last year.

I saw a topless women sun bathing in the park today, that was the prompt I needed to make more of an effort to see more boobs and I think once I have a pair closer to me, I won't be as bored.

Yes I know this but it's because of injury and unemployment happening in the same week. I'm kinda over that now - the sun is shining and I saw boobs.

Things to do that are different so they'll keep you interested:

* make some beer & bacon mancakes (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bettycrockerrecipes/5267011124/) (recipe included) for breakfast...or dinner....or whenever!

* watch this kinda corny but earnest 1950s educational film, "What To Do On A Date" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVytXppIFw0) along with the Mystery Science Theater 3000 crew

* spend a couple hours with a buddy....with your cellphone turned off. Multitasking is no good when it comes to friends.

* DON'T watch this eye-popping video put together by a SFX production company if you fully believe in the "suspension of disbelief" thing when watching a movie or TV show: "Amazing Effects From Popular TV Shows" (http://www.petapixel.com/2011/02/15/amazing-effects-from-popular-tv-shows/) In other words, CGI isn't just for spaceships or Godzilla movies.

* read book one of Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_series), one of sci-fi's most influential and popular series of all time. FYI: Asimov also wrote the "Robot" series....and the Will Smith version was NOT an accurate reflection of what's in those books!

* flip - literally - through the pages of Radio Shack catalogs (http://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/index.html) going all the way back to the 1930s - crazy as it seems, until the late 90s RadShak carried a lot more than just batteries and cellphones (sorry iPad owners, this site uses Flash to allow those trips to yesteryear).

* rent or Youtube Koyaanisqatsi (http://www.koyaanisqatsi.org/) and see the inspiration for many filming and photo techniques still in use today. And, why us humans have to treat this planet better: koyaanisqatsi = Hopi Indian word for "life out of balance". Just don't get in a hurry while watching this beautifully photographed, actor-less, narration-less, slooooow paced program with its trance (or anger :D) -inducing soundtrack by Philip Glass.

Issac Asimov is my favourite Author. I should read the whole series again.

One good thing about being a cripple and unemployed is that I can catch up on my reading. I enjoy reading but I can only really get into it when I'm outside, the sun is shining and no distractions.

I might just go with the beer for mancakes as I don't eat meat which doesn't make me a man any more.

The rest are good ideas and will do - thanks (y)

I should also be looking for a job.

Boredom is good for you (http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2011/may/06/boredom-good-for-you-claims-study)

One of the thing in the article said about giving blood - and I did during this spell of boredom just because it was something to do and something I hadn't done for a couple of years.
