Thanks man. This is awesome. I saw a tweet about it earlier and entered. Nobody else is posting. No beastie fans here in Toronto? It'd be cool to see some board members at the screening. Exclaim makes it sound as though they are giving away several pairs of tickets. Is there any way to buy these?

Just checking the royal cinema website and it says Wednesday @ 7pm private screening. That's gotta be it, no? I think I'm still gonna call and see if it's possible to somehow weasel my way in. As if you saw AIFST in theaters! That's sick. At least I have the DVD I guess, but yeah, I'm gonna try pretty hard to get to the one on Wednesday.

Just got off the phone with the people at the Royal. They said that the only way to get tickets is if you win them. I asked what if people don't pick them up and I hang around the box office. They said they can only give tickets to people who are on the list and that its the distributors rules. I asked if I could talk to the distributor, they said they can't give the information out. They weren't really cooperative. It's like they were getting paid $10/h to guard bars of gold.

It's a piss off, because there are going to be people in there who wont even be able to tell the difference between the mike d and ad rock.

Got in! It was great. Promo stuff everywhere. They were giving away posters, stickers, t shirts, Dj hero sets. Confiscated cell phones to prevent leaks. In the theatre they were playing msn regular and pp remix before the movie. Then some guy came on told some jokes. They played ffyr, then ffyr, then tmr, say it, dpngticw, lbf and hlsfy. Shit sounded real good. Also helped that it was 420 :)

Congrats and well done! How did you get in?

I was in the neighbourhood after work and the 4:20 celebrations, so I thought I would just go to little Italy and see if I can get in. I ended up talking my way in.

On the marquee outside it said “Beastie Boys are Back”

The short was funny, people were laughing. It’s basically the music video stretched over 20mins.

The songs were great. Some people started filing out during Say it. From what I hear this album is going to be nice. The fans will really like it. Definitely more impressed with what I am hearing then when TT5B came out.

Too many rappers was nice. Like the changes they made.
Say it was good. Way better than the 40s clip.
Don’t play no game was like the clips we‘ve heard.
Long Burn Fire was amazing. AD Rock’s crushes his verse.
Here’s a little something for ya was different and a nice change from the remix. I’m used to the remix. But this new beat is nice.

MCA changed all his lyrics on the songs we have already heard. The other two stayed the same.

I was definitely the biggest beastie dork there. Most people were casual fans.
All together it was a nice promo! One of the posters they were handing out is soundscientists avatar.
If you get a chance to go to one of these do it!

Oh.....so the songs they played were just audio? I know Say It and TMR are in the outro of film from the bootleg I saw but the others were just played through the cinema sound system or what? Oh, and VH1 better let the full outro play tonight dammit!

The live version was about 97bpm (probably because of the turntables' setting or whatever) and the studio version along with the reactionaries version are approx 94bpm. The live, louder, non mellow adrock and faster beat I think made it sound way better. It felt kinda weird when I heard the studio track at first.

Thanks for snapping this pic. Totally was overwhelmed and forgot to do so. Definetly a lot of casual fans there. I felt like such a dork knowing allthe lryrics to make some noise and too many mcs (although yauchs first verse in that song definitely caught me off guard). Was hoping people would all hang out later but people kinda jus peaced out.

I'm actually kind of upset they changed anything a all on too many rappers. It was very in your face. Mainstream hip hop needs that big middle finer right now. Adrocks spitting is perfect on this track.
