Strangely though, there has been barely any promotion of the single or album release over here and I really cannot understand why the video to the song wasn't released at the same time...hence no airtime on MTV or VH1 etc.

Maybe it's classed as a soft launch!?

TBH mate I never realised the single had been released over here last week, I know its been getting some plays on radio 1 but just thought it was getting released this week or next

Was it definitely released over here last week, not to make the top 100 seems very strange

yeah there's been some radio play. but that's it. but an mp3 release on a tuesday, with no video or general fanfare, i'm not surprised. ch-check it out was everywhere (and number eight in the charts as a result) but then in had a big build up to it's release - radio one got the world premiere - huge rotation and a video which mtv seemed to love.

Yeah I didn't realise released either.

Also I didn't realise there was still a Top 40. When the short film comes out they'll probably be more of a fanfare.

I've only heard it on radio 1 a couple of times, but it looks like there will not be any promotion for this. I also did not realise that it was officially released here in the U.K in any format.

So it didn't even make the top 40? Strange.

i've heard it on radio 6 once. I thought they would have played it more. Typical no hyped Beasties though!

The album will go straight to number one though - they always do!

I think the radio crowd all sucks in this day and age but thank goodness the fans will make it happen with out without the charts. The majority of the requests on these songs are coming from the kiddos. They usually dominate polls and things like that. They have the time to sit there and do it. It’s not like we couldn’t put together a fan related promotion and start calling in and emailing these stations. I bet if we did that then they’d be on there. :p

Hate to say it, but Make Some Noise was like #150 on the itunes charts behind songs like Ice Ice Baby. Doesn't look like its going to take off as a single. Im just hoping the album does well.

Really? blah... I really do love it. Man I am gonna put some votes in for it. It needs to move up the charts.

What is also strange is that with any single release you would ahve an accompanying video, but it look like the single would have been long gone before the video gets a rotation on any channel?

I heard MSN on Shade 45 the other morning. I've listened every day since but nothing.

You know you are right about that. There are a lot of great bands who don’t get the airplay but their fan-base is solid so it doesn’t matter.... ;) which is why Beasties will be fine! Although you know it would be nice to see them get that exposure so the new generation can get a break from Rihanna and Katy Perry. Oh well. :p
