"2012 VW Beetle bigger, ditches 'girl's car' image, aims at global sales" (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2011/04/2012-vw-beetle-global-us-bigger-/1)

And the floating thing is familiar if you're old like me. :D If you want to SEE what I mean, check out the car chase scene from one of my favorite movies of all time, What's Up Doc?*:

Slide the slider to the 8min 20sec mark (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAG66bNAYYE)

Features Barbara Streisand, Madeline Kahn and Ryan O'Neil. Funny as hell, full of classic verbal and physical jokes and there's not one cuss word in it (it's rated G) but there are jokes in there only an adult will understand. And all the music is provided by various P.A. systems i.e. it's all incidental music.

* Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What%27s_Up,_Doc%3F_%28film%29); ".....number 61 on the list of 100 greatest comedies published by the American Film Institute..."

yeah, it kinda looks like if a bug and a pt cruiser had a baby. and said baby, is gay. not that there's anything wrong with that.

The new commercial for it rules, though.

I like it and I fully endorse it because my wife says she wants a beetle when she gets her license.

I have no problems at all with that now. She still ain't driving the jeep though.

Homophobics say it's a gay guy's car.

You don't have to be a homophobe to know the cars gay.
