I really hope that either or both of these magazines interview the guys this time around. Spin did for TT5B, but RS didn’t, but both mags were all over them during the Hello Nasty era. Rolling Stone did about 3 really great features.
Hopefully Yauch is feeling up to it. It would be great to hear them talk about this album finally!
May 2 ya’ll. UK, one day early.

I've been hoping for the same thing. remember those issues of RS in '98,
the articles were great and that cover was hysterical. I tend to believe
that RS has lost love for the Beastie Boys over the years, but who knows.
I can't really speak about Spin ( although those photos in '98 were great too),
I dont' read it.

yeah, it's sad. RS is just another whore catering to the flavor of the month, regardless of quality or integrity. in fact, regardless of whether it's even music-related or not.
unless the bboys and Capitol plan on staging a monster promotional campaign at some point in the future, I think it's safe to say the beasties won't be gracing a RS cover ever again.
i'd love to eat these words, mind you...

I'm leaning the other way, thinking it's pretty much a guarantee that they get a cover in the next two issues. The mainstream always jocks the beastie boys when they return from hiatus.

consider this...
TT5B was their big return after their longest hiatus. Rolling Stone also gave the record a 5 star review. If that doesn't qualify for a cover under your terms then I don't know what does. I think D12 faced that cover. What does that say? Something tells me that RS isn't gonna be knocking down Oscilloscope's doors this time around over a record that's not even gonna get a proper tour to promote it.
once again, I'd love to eat these words...

FFYR star-studded video and the battle against cancer makes for some good headlines. We shall see.

Yeah. The Beastie Boys are one of the few bands out there that always gets that "Fuck Yeah! Awesome!" reaction from people. Each and every time.

Oh Ham & Cheese please put your Beastie Boner away for a week or two. No need to speculate on whether you'll get your Bob Mack on, you'll know soon enough.

What was I thinking, speculating and discussing BBoys topics on the message board, thanks for making me realise my mistake. Hey, who here likes Hanson?
