never heard of these guys before, but they sure do have a crazy production staff for their album with daft punk, neptunes, mark ronson, dj shadow, dj premier, alchemist and automator.... not too mention that they are on DEF JAM
has anybody ever heard of them?

wow, this sounds interesting indeed
Appearantly they are from Japan. I remember Adrock rapping in a Japanese rap song (scharra da par or something similar) a year or 2 ago too.
What's his connection to Japan?

TERIYAKI BOYZ結成
「BEEF or CHIKEN」つか両方肉じゃんっっ笑
Def Jamレーベルから出るなんて…
Neptunesファレルが絶賛ななんて…
DJ SHADOWやビースティADROCKがプリデュー ななんて…
発売11/16って先すぎる…
Kateちゃんのそっこーまなっこしてし った…ハワイ行ってらっさぃ
This sounds interesting.
Don't know if it is though since I can't read japanese. :D
edit:
I found more shit:
Teriyaki Boyz "Kamikaze 108" - This is a brand new production from DJ Shadow, and is taken from the new Japanese compilation Nigo Presents: (b)Ape Sounds. It's not exactly breaking new ground for DJ Shadow - stylistically, it's not that far off from the "Drums Of Death" song that he did with Mike D - but it's quality work, and quite a lot better than anything he did on the Private Press album. The Teriyaki Boyz are rappers from Japan who alternately rap in Japanese and English old school hip hop catchphrases.

from http://www.japan-zone.com/news/archives/2005_09_08.shtml
Members of popular hip hop groups Rip Slyme and m-flo are to team up with fashion designer Nigo (33) to make their recording debut in the US. Ryo-Z (31) and Ilmari (30) from Rip Slyme, m-flo vocalist Verbal, Kaze no Hito's MC Wise, and Nigo as DJ will make up the 5-man unit Teriyaki Boyz. They will release their debut album "Beef or Chicken" on Def Jam Recordings on November 16. Nigo is best known for the A Bathing Ape street fashion brand, which has a huge cult following. He is a friend of Def Jam artist Jay-Z, and got the idea of putting the group together this summer. The album also has a stellar lineup on the production side, with Japan's Cornelius alongside Grammy Award winners the Neptunes, Ad Rock of the Beastie Boys, French artists Daft Punk, and DJ Shadow. The group will hold a launch party in New York and play live dates in five cities towards the end of the year. There are no plans for the members to continue as a group after that.
Just heard about this, using google news.
Sounds very intrersting. Anyone know any sites where I can hear samples of the album?
You can hear a sample the one by shadow on his site using the media player thing on the top right of his page. Its the one called "108 tempo"
Edit: After a few searches I came across the shadow song Kamikaze 108here (http://rapidshare.de/files/5768984/Teriyaki_Boys_-_Kamikaze_108.mp3.html)

anyone heard any of the adrock-tracks??
btw you can see a short clip of their video on the website (http://www.universal-music.co.jp/teriyakiboyz/index2.html) - in the end they are wearing this sweater that mike d used a lot last year... so it´s most likely BAPE

Adrock's tracks are phat.
The intro has kind of a heavy beat, and he's screaming stuff (names etc...). Shout out for delivery is alright (the beat tends to be a bit repetitive).
Beef or Chicken is nice !! could have the beasties rapping over it.
Outro is dope ! He's shouting again.
You can definitely hear and recognize sounds similar to TT5B.
Sorry about not going more into details, but I gotta run.
Cheers

"Beef or chicken tell me what you want
Beef or chicken tell me what you want"
I'm listening to the album now. It's hilarious. Apart from few English words I don't understand anything.
"TAKE OUTro" is a very short track that closes the album proper -- again, Horovitz shouts out his own name. :D
and he adds WhaaaT?!! :D

That ain't Mike D shouting out to the Neptunes on Shout Out For Delivery. That's Chad Hugo giving a shout out FROM the Neptunes.
ya. i got the album just now. its pretty damn good. the only 'real' track that adrock was on was Beef or chicken. the rest were just kinda shoutouts and intros outros. ether way, its a damn good album.

Got the album the other day. It's so awesome. It's better than a lot of the mainstream rappers out there.
Now they have a new track on the Tokyo Drift CD. Don't know who produced it, though.
*Mega bump*
He's involved in their second album (http://www.universal-music.co.jp/teriyakiboyz/en/) too.
There's even a little bit of info on him on the "producer and guest" link at the top of the page
