I have just watched on Channel 4 (UK TV) Hip Hop Reverans!! they interviewed Rev Run the first rap star to wear a collar!!! he donated to another church a chandalear & a Rolls Royce (UK Shadow) they showed a bit of Jam Master Jays funeral too!!!

It was pretty weird seeing Run doing that kind of thing! (y)

Yeah, i actually caught LL COOL J at Grant Park in my town of the CHI. The opening act was Faith Evans/w DJ Hurricane. He did sport a shirt of JMJ. It was nice seeing DJ Hurricane up there, that was a treat. :p

I saw Run DMC twice in the late 90s. And I was disappointed both times. They did too much of the "What's my name?....Put your hands in the air....Say, ho ho ho" type stuff.

I prefer to remember them from the first time I saw them in '87.

Has anyone ever seen Hurra perform solo? DJing or rapping?

I also had a performance of them on SNL. They did 'walk this way' and 'hit it run'. jay scratched out the part when dmc say "motherfuckers"... it was really dope... i wish i still had that too.

I think that might have been TFC 99 at Alpine Valley...which is kinda close to Chicago.

I was disapponted by that performance, however I've never seen the video of it.

RATM was friggin incredible. A lot of energy. Zach's mom introduced them.

I've been searching for the video of the Beasties performance forever. I have the audio...but really want the video. I have one clip of them performing Sabotage, but that's it.

That was ALL they did. I had just seen RATM put on a great set. Was waiting for the Beasties and RunDMC came on.

I giggled.

Then got annoyed.

I actually even booed about 20 minutes in when they had performed one song. I shit you not, one song.

It was like, "Do you know who this DJ is?"

"That's Jam Master Jay!"
