What do you do you come accross people who dont like the Beastie Boys

This is a problem ive come accross constantly, it seems to me that i am one of the few who love the Beastie boys. Only one other friend out of like 10 i hang out with like them, when i try to tell them listen to thier music i always get "i dont like their vioces", or "a bunch of white guys rapping" what do you do?

Dude, thats what happens to me too. I usually ignore them cause i dont want to waste my time explaining how great the beasties are. I just insist when the person shows some interest in their music. The boys need time to be appreciated.

I respect their musical taste and don't try to shove beastie boys down their throats,
after all they have their favourite music, there are tons of artists/bands, not everybody have to like the same thing

and I wouldn't want a bunch of stupid kids running around my school with B-Boy t shirts on and blasting Fight For Your Right out of their headphones. That would turn me off of the BBoys altogether.

If they don't listen to them then whatever, as long as they don't say anything bad about the Beastie Boys. Then I'll spaz out and get all upset and go on a rampage on how great they are. I'm real sensitive about that. :p

I'm a 29 year woman, so you can imagine that most of my friends don't understand how can I adore so much the BB's... specially when I'm not a hip hop fan... but I feel proud of saying that I love them (and their music)... everytime they joke about me liking them, it makes me laugh. But if they seriously put them down, I don't get quiet, I start explaining how great they are for hours! Lucky for me, at least they listen to me, cuz they think I know what I'm talking about. You know... music is the air I breath! :rolleyes:

I'm the only beastie fan that I know around here. Kinda sad sometimes because I can't share my beastie obsession with anyone. Actually, my parents used to listen to license to ill when it came out, but nowadays they aren't interested anymore. and even if they would be, I doubt that they would be the persons to go on a concert... :D

Most of my friends respect BB's and what they've done, not all loving their music. I've yet to meet anyone who disses em as the only people I'll talk to about BB's and music are people who know what they are talking about, not some kid who thinks the be and end all of rap is eminem and 50 pence. My suggestion for others who suffer this shit is ask them who'll be their new darling when these rap arstist or bands in general fall by the wayside.....BB's 24 and still goin strong!!

if they like them, great, now we have something to talk about. if they don't like them, fine but they're missing out big time

but if they haven't even listened to them at all and just decide they don't like them, i might loan them cyh or something like that and perhaps they'll change their mind afterwards...
