I remember hearing something on this board a long time ago and some news report on MTV that it was supposed to be a double album, it makes sense because of the huge time it took them to make it. It would be awesome if the new album coming out sometime was a double record, that always seems to be the highlight of a lot of groups careers. Anybody know anything about this?

i personally never heard that and im virtually here every other day.

You may have it confused with the solid gold hits album where a dvd was included with the cd..

No, I'm really sure it was, it could have been just a rumor, they probably would have released more b-sides if they had unused material for the album though.

Never heard about it...anyway... I think too that it would be nice if they sometimes made a double album...but if this would take too long to be realized....well...I'll be happy of a mono CD also.

Wow, I like mono too, you sure are old school :D

I think a double album would be great, looking back at the artists who have done it; many experiment and make great albums like London Calling and the White Album. They should definitely make one before the end of their career.

they should do a themed album documenting the various stages/styles of hip hop that they have seen come and go and outlived!

Just a thought

If you stop and think about it they would be the perfect group to do a double album, whenever people do it they usually do something from every genre, they've experimented with numerous sounds but over the span of different albums, so if they had some punk, old school hip-hop, rock and roll, sample heavy music, instrumentals, etc then everybody would find something to like about that album.

Yes. The first record was supposed to be anti-Bush. The second record, however, was supposed to be anti-Cheney.

It took them like 6 or 7 years to make a single album, imagine how long it would take to make a double.

did those appear on an actual album though (i'm talking like major records)...every band releases a record with just their single and a couple of b-sides on it :S

so therefore they should throw a bunch of the b-sides from throughout their career on one of the two albums in a double album. It's not that tough of an idea to grasp

I was going to say that! :)

I will never understand why Brr Stick Em wasn't on TT5B.

why not just release it as an album on its own?

here's an example: the beasties released an album that was not TT5B that only had ch-check it out on it and i believe a couple of b-sides on it too e.g. brr stick em

so i was saying, if there were to be a double album release form them, why not put tt5b on one of the records, and a bunch of b-sides on the other. But yah you could make an entirely separate record of b-sides on its own

brr stick em was on the Right Right Now Now(someone knows for sure) thing. an ep, not an album.

I'm talking about the next album of all new material, I want that to be a double album. You can get the b-sides by downloading them.

Hello Nasty is longer than a lot of double albums. A double CD album, with two hour long discs, would be amazing though.

It wasn't that long of an album but out of all that they have released up to this point it definitely has the most resemblence to a double album. A roughly 2 hour record sounds awesome (y)
