New York Shows (Central Park / Brooklyn) ... anyone going? Hotel? Party?

anyone going to New York to see Central Park and/or Brooklyn show? Got a ticket for the Brooklyn show, unfortunately since Central Park is sold out(?) I have to surrender to the scalpers. :(

Now i´m planning my trip from europe to NY (august 7th till 12th)

- any good/cheap hotel recommendation between Central Park / Brooklyn or any other place?

- anybody else from europe or anywhere going to the NY show(s)? Will there be a board gathering somewhere? Party?

- anything else to do in NY related to Beastie Boys?
