Why is Detroit not on your tour

Beasties hate the midwest. It's a fact.

Even in 2004, they barely played any midwest shows. Hardly any other bands skip Minneapolis.

Maybe they hate the midwest?? They wouldn't be the only people. I was born and raised in the MW and no matter where I live, I'll always rep Chi til I die:p:o, but maybe the just hate it there? No matter what the reason, their touring habits have become very peculiar.

I've got nothing except my guesswork, but I think that the kids' school schedules mean the tour has to end around Labor Day. And they're clearly not going to make a lot of money so they're not going to want to move their equipment a lot. It's easy to do a pile of shows in and around NY and CA. They're doing it the easy way. They're not trying to win over new fans at this point, so they can say "fuck you" to the whole middle of the country, the south, etc.

They do think the south is dirty dir-tay. :)

And Doc...I would agree with you except that they are traveling all the way to Japan for one show. If finances were an issue, why travel around the world for one 90 minute show? I think they're having fun doing all the double gigs...so why not add 8-10 more and hit Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, MN, etc.
