am i the only one who hasnt been listening to full versions of songs and didn't check out the thing at MSG yesterday? besides MSN obviously.


for most groups ill dl the album even if im going to buy it.


but i haven't with this one. i guess i want to wait and give it the proper listen on nice speaker/headphones it deserves.

i had mixed feeling about the listening party, once i realized what was happening, but in the heat of the moment i stuck around...and around, and around, and around. kinda sucks how low the quality is though. i respect your dedication, and you shall be rewarded.

i was aware of it. and in the essence of full disclosure i went to the site at 10:35 saturday at work on my phone. but for some reason the stream would not play on my phone.

im taking it back to the 90s when there was no way to hear an album until it was in your cd/record player. i wanna hear the music the way it is supposed to sound the first time instead of from lower quality lab top speakers.

I'm with ya! I checked out the MSG stream for a few minutes hoping the Boys would make an appearance or something. But once I figured out it was a listing party, I shut it down.

I'm glad they did it but I prefer to listen to a NEW Beastie album when I have it in my hands.

These days there are very few bands/albums that are a midnight/preorder release must have.

No offense to anyone who listened, I just do not want to spoil the surprise for myself.

Once I get HSC#2, I take a drive/get lost and jam it out and when Im done listening, I'll try and figure out how to get home. ( I have done the same for every album since the release of CYH).

Cuz they are that fuckin cool.

Let me lay out a scenario for you..

You wake up in the morning and get ready for work/school. Counting the days until the release of HSC2. Your singing 'Make Some Noise" in the shower, while thinking how awesome this song and the others is going to sound Live when they tour.

You get out of the shower and throw on your pants and your John Starks Throwback jersey even though the knicks just lost to the celtics, but you don't give a F because the only thing in the world that matters right now is the release of HSC2.

You walk out the door and someone walks up behind you and smashes your ears with Cymbals, permanently damaging your ears for the rest of your life.


Now....do you wish you would have cheated?

don't sweat these clowns those of you saving yourselves. stick with it. the leak is not very fresh. all types of file-compression artifacts, kinda distracting (to an audiophile such as myself at least). I regret de-flowering my ears to this version. not gonna lose any sleep, it's not unlistenable, but definitely feel like I didn't get the proper debut that the record deserves.
