I must be a looser, because I cant wait to go and buy HSC II at the recored/cd/book store down the street that is owned by my old neighbors.
SO I can download and all that, but for special shit, I want to buy the package... Like my wife bought me Solid Gold Hits on CD .. the last CD I purchased ... The Mix Up ... shit I got 3 and gave a few to family... soon the last cd I purchased it will be HSCII
so anyway ... dose anybody else support there local dying recored store? Should I feel bad for not downloading/purchasing from the BB site?
whatever, just thinking about walking into the store, buying the HSC II, opening the cd, busting it in the car and checking out the CD cover. Then leaving the cd in the CD player for the next 6 months are so. Ill have to buy 2 copies so I can put a copy in the Boat cd player also..

I still buy cds - no shame in that game
But unfortunately our only independent music store went under. FYE raised their prices again and Best Buy appears to be cutting back on their inventory which was a shitty anyways.
So I order online

I remember buying a dozen copies of Aglio E Olio for all my friends as a Christmas present back when it was released.

Pure Pop Records I got you!
I buy pretty much all my music from the independent music store that it takes about 1 minute to walk to.

last time i bought first release of root down and paul's boutique from my local cd store. Just to backup my old, unlimited hours played, poor condition Cds. I happy cause catalog numbers are the same (no reedition etc, just the same realeses, but brand new).
i like musicstores, digging in the crates
i dont like when album leaks
but when the boys stream it, no problemo
i bought the deluxe pack from the site, would never download a beastie boys album without paying for it unless they tell me to do so;)

I'm getting old @ 40. Back in the eighties a record store was the only place you could buy a record. Then the 90s came and so did the internet........by the late nineties early 2000s the internet became very hard to compete with so pretty much most record stores went out of business. And actually, as far as I know anyways...there are no records only record stores left in the United States. The closest thing to a record only store in my town is a store that buys and sells CDs and DVDs. They have a huge selection of used CDs for ok prices. You can still buy used CDs for quite a bit less from Amazon and Ebay. Video rental places are next to go. Hollywood video already shut its doors and Blockbuster is next to go. Personally I rent all my movies from Redbox for a dollar. You can stream all the movies you want from Netflix for like $8.99 a month and they have over 5000 movies to stream. Blockbuster has employees and they will never be able to compete. I am surprised they have lasted so long but they are on their last leg for sure.
Anyhow, sorry to ramble on so long, your post gave me that thought.
(oh and record is not spelled recored, you can edit your post.)
