Raises a good point about the edits glossing over the detail. I could have just hung out on the Paul's Boutique corner. Beastieland, spendin Beastiebucks.

maybe a director's cut will find it's way out in a future beastie retrospective.

shit, a gag reel would be the ultimate though.

I got a lot more out of watching it the second time. The first viewing was like WTF? But the second time I could appreciate more of the references and general absurdity.

I've gotta say - Gotta give Hornblower his props for being able to create trippy videos. Some of the portions of FFYRR and 'Awesome...I F'n Shot Someone' are some of the most accurate reflections of an acid head-fuck that I've seen coming out of an editing room. The bit where Will Farrell does the serious face/smiling double-take and then rocks the cowbell on the car roof totally creased me up.:)(y)(y) Plus the light filters and stuff - shit! Some of the bugged-out acting and stuff (which also deserves props to be fair) in the MSN vid makes a lot more sense in the broader context of FFYRR.

I managed to see 'Awesome' twice on a big screen (Brixton Ritzy and the National Film Theatre) and tried to go to the NFT one on mushrooms but it didn't work out. Shame really, one day.
