Sounds like fun. But I'll be out of town that day.

just got home from Chicago... wish I was there

I looked for the CD every time I went to a record store. I was by one that they received and gave out 5 promo copies and that they had sold out of all the old shit.

Would you have a problem if I bit some of this for something I'm trying to do in Norfolk, VA next week? It won't be on Cinco De Mayo, but I love the concept.

I don't think anybody here is gonna have any problem with a party in celebration of the beastie boys, ever. :)

Facedownfall, no problem at all, especially since it's in another town. Anything to promote the album is a-ok in my book.

Jason, you're right! It's a fun thing to do. I hope I don't sprain my ankle again prior to their next tour. I didn't get to see much of Chicago.

-Polish,
Thanks! I was considering something but dropped the plans when the album leaked, I love the concept you have though, so thought it might work.

Facedownfall, let me know if you want the Photoshop .psd file for the flyer, this way you could just change the info and you're all set.

The fonts I used were:

Philly Sans (Copa Lounge)

News Gothic Std 42pt, with tracking (AV) set to 30 (HSC2 font)

Grey splats are "WC Rhesus Bta".

Aaaiight: for the "oh, you mf*ers like to dance?"

Or if you'd like, send me the info and I can adjust it for your Norfolk event and send you back a .jpg.

Some of the other details not on the flyer are:

Beastie-related tunes: These are all songs from the Beastie Sample Source collection that Casio made available. We're sticking with tunes where the original hook is the basis for the Beastie track. (e.g. Sabbath - Sweet Leaf)

We're also giving out bottles of hot sauce with the HSC2 artwork as the label.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

JPG works best for me! I don't have Photoshop at home. I'll give you the details.
