Picked up my copy today in London. Three things became instantly notable:

1) The members of the Hot Sauce Committee are revealed. They
are diverse, cross time and space, and some members are particularly infamous. I am sure the committee is now on a terrorist watch list of some sort. Hope the band sells t-shirts for each committee member.

2) The ablum is excellent and will be in my rotating top three (specific rankings for me change with my mood and time; but there are usually three Beastie albums in rotation with fave status).

3) Switch helped mix the Santigold track. Throught it sounded a little
like his work from Major Lazer. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_Lazer)

We knew about Switch in 09, just before the diagnosis. Enjoy the album. :)

Switch and Diplo were supposed to do some remixes. I guess they might come out at some point. MSTRKRFT was also asked to do a remix but they couldn't decide what song to do, and shelved it. I talked to Jesse a couple weeks ago and said that they are not working on remixes for the time being.

D mentioned Switch on the original Zane Lowe spot. Mentioned him doing a mix on the album, I mean. I didn't mean to be terse. I wrote that and just hit 'submit'. Then I looked back and it looked terse. Curt, even. Mike D mentioned Switch doing a mix for the album, and then doing a remix or some shit. I think. As I recall it he did. Oh man. Oh man oh man oh man

Yeah, I caught it. But, there were supposed to be a Major Lazer remix. And, some major Dubstep remixes as well.

Oh, ok. Cool. I like the first Major Lazer album. The one that GURL YAR POOSSY EESS FAAATT shit on there. I play that in the whip with the wife.

Thanks for that info. I missed it that Switch worked on one of the tracks. Makes sense though. Could not be happier about this new album.

I wasn't trying to sully the experience, just saying. Please don't take it the wrong way. I meant like we in general terms, not like some club. Just that it had been said, you know? The album has been in constant rotation round these parts. Now at the stage where I cherry-pick tracks for a little bit (mostly Here's a Little Somethin, Say It, OK and Nonstop) then go in for an all-the-way-through listen. Have to remember to listen to Make Some Noise a lot; by the time I reach the end I feel like I've neglected it. It's nice being back at work since I just keep my headphones in and ignore motherfuckers like it ain't no thing.

I know, thanks. Definitely trying to listen from beginning to end. I am LP start to finish listener.
