View Full Version : How will you listen to your HSC2 album?
By now, most of us have heard the album. For me, it was through crappy computer speakers. I haven't heard the bump and the bass and the crazy noises that creep out after listening dozens of times on good speakers. So when I listen to the vinyl, it will be like the first time.
My boyfriend has a tradition of how he spends his day listening to a new Beastie album. From the purchase to the listen, he's pretty much had the same routine on how he chooses to listen. And he prefers to be alone.
Now that downloads have taken over, I can see where this tradition may wane for a lot of people. If you have a plan for tomorrow, what is it?

I'm buying the Vinyl tonight at the local indie record shop that has midnight sales.
Then putting on my way too expensive headphones and nerding out.
I might be under the influence at some point as well.

I scheduled a "dentist appointment" for tomorrow morning. I was going to take the whole day, but I've been listening to the new album for a whole week now. I will be looking for bonus tracks though.

Well being I bought the deluxe package I won't have any thing physical to look at and listen to, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that 12am EST means 9 here on the West Coast. Also excited to have it on my iPhone instead of listening to it streaming.

My first actual proper listen was an early early morning surf down the coast in which the surf wasnt good so I drove an extra hour an a half to another surf spot in which the surf was good. Having that long drive with the album playing through a few times was the best ever. Definatly recommend a long as drive to spaz out all alone to.

I actually *have* a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon, so the plan is to bust out from work extra early to pick up a hard copy of the CD to blast in the Jeep while driving to and from the good doctor's office. Cannot wait!

I've been listening to it on my studio monitors. Very loudly. Outstanding.
Next place it's scheduled to jam is in my car.
In good old fashioned, compact disc style. Looking forward to that.

I have held out and have only heard the songs Make Some Noise, Say It, and a small part of Lee Majors. I plan on driveing to my local music store, grabbing a copy, dropping it in the trunk so im not tempted to listen on the way home. Then finally, pop it in my amazing home sound system and lighting up an even more amazing bowl of what I will now call Hot Sauce Buddah.
btw, First beastie album with lyrics since I have became a hardcore fan, Started listening about a year after TT5B so I am SUPER HYPED!

That made me laugh out loud. Considering it's the only Beasties album after TT5B with lyrics.

I work a long ass day tomorrow. I have a training class to take from 9 am to noon. When noon hits I am taking my BREAK and heading out to get my CD! The car seems like a popular choice here and I have to agree. (y)
For a long time I’ve tried to get my one friend to appreciate the Beastie Boys. I mean she does but she doesn’t take them serious enough as rappers. She prefers Yelawolf and some other ones I can’t remember right now. Sorta disappointed me but I just kept playing their songs. So on Friday I played my copy of Hot Sauce and she said that’s got to the best damn album she’s ever heard of theirs. And while we were out for drinks she made a lot of comments about liking Mike D and asked a lot about where Yauch has been on the latest promo stuff. Boo-ya I’m good!
