Should have made the album, PYB, I can take or leave. Not a fan of the organ work on that one, even with the updated sound and by no means this album’s Skills to pay the bills. You have to go a long, long way to top that B-side, it’s a defining moment on it’s own. I don’t even think of it as a B-side, it’s one of the very best things they’ve ever done!!!

Side note, Here’s a little somethin’ for ya, is such a great track. The break is a neck snapper!!

Glorious work all round really.

Best complete album start to finish, since CYH for me.

Now that you've posted this, they might change the album! (y)

I do have a lot of weight when it comes to helping them decide!...

i am a little bit pissed off that the larry routine was still on BBITC. All that extra production that had been done and no one thought that it might be an idea not to repeat that shit. or is it just itunes fault?. just posted this elsewhere.

I like B-Boys in the Cut but having listened to the retooled tracklisting a lot now, I just don't see where it could fit on the album without feeling out of place.

as it was, tadlock's seeps into it nicely. i concur with this thread. i like the larry routine being on at the end, that way i can cut out the larry routine as a skit on the album. in any case, as it's a bonus track, i don't see why it really matters if the skit is on the end of it or not. it's not part of the final album.

Still like B-Boys In The Cut, main thing I noticed changed is a background noise that comes in at 1:00.

It was always there, just buried.

I might be wrong but it seems to me to be a vinyl rip on the Deluxe download...

the deluxe edition b-sides surely aren't top quality, I can tell you that. :(

people seem really divided about these two tracks. maybe thats why they got left off the album? personally, though i enjoy it, i have never had much of an attachment to BBitC but i love PYB, so i dunno. go figure. i agree about the repeated larry routine being lame-o

I ended up Trimming the Larry Routine off the end of BBitC.

Alternatively I guess I could have just deleted the larry routine and left BBitC intact...

B-Boys in the cut is still a fun one to rap start to finish. I rarely skip it.

it's also one of the few tunes where they don't rotate the rhyme structure fully. the third and last verse both follow the same pattern: adrock-mca-mike d. i know it's not exactly groundbreaking, but i can't think of many straight hip-hop cuts of theirs that do this.

It has a special place in our hearts, first the accapella, then the music, it seemed to be a big part of the start of things for HSC 1, to not include it seems strange. I’d love that track on the actual CD... oh well, at least a final version is out there as a bonus track.

The only track on the album that I'm not in love with is Funky Donkey. So I replaced it and the Larry Routine with BBITC. The album flows so much better that way for me.
