View Full Version : TV Appearances
Can Minton or anyone that hears of a promotional appearance post it here? I want to set my DVR to any talk show performances. Thanks.

Seriously imagine some of the songs of HSCP2 being performed live. It would be fuckin nuts.
Nonstop Disco Powerpack LIVE, holy shit.

Yeah I was just about to tweet on that one! I don't think TV appearances will happen. If they do they will be few. If anything we may get more scattered radio interviews. Not sure how much they can do with just two members.

It'd be nice to see but doesn't look like it'll be happening this time around. I think they're going to be saving all of the appearances and touring for HSCP1.

That's exactly what I think. I prepared to not set my hopes up for anything but an album release and some interviews and that’s it. It’s been a little easier accepting that this is how it’s gonna be and I am grateful for a new amazing album to tide me over while we all just wait for PART 1. And I am so happy the band mentioned that there will be a Part 1 because it gives plenty of time and opportunities for the band to come back in the future and perform new music together.

They gave an update on him on one of their recent interviews. They addressed the fact that he is doing good but he isn’t any better than people thought (meaning that Mike D interview that got all twisted.) Not sure what that means but Horovitz stated that they wished that none of this was happening and it would be better for everybody if Yauch was well… I got mixed messages but at the end he said when he is well enough that the band is going to perform and be all over the place.

I think that they've kept their radio appearances and interviews to a minimum because they don't want Adam Yauch's illness to distract from the album's release. I don't think they have any plans to do TV appearances or a tour for when HSC Pt. 1 is released but maybe rather a hope that Yauch can beat cancer and continue down the possible path they've set before them. When Adrock & Mike D were asked on KCRW if they had any plans to tour Adrock said they had no plans but his summer softball schedule is set. Basically he's saying that the only thing he is certain of is his softball schedule and everything else is a big question mark. He doesn't know anymore than we do when or if they will tour again or do TV appearances. And it's not like they are dodging questions they just legitimately don't know what the future holds. I actually think they've publicly done a very good job to not let Adam's cancer and uncertain future overshadow this album's release and to let the music speak for itself. We all know Yauch's not better yet but none of us actually know his current condition. So we can't fool ourselves into thinking that they have any plan beyond the now. All we can do is the same as The Beasties and that's to enjoy the moment and to hope that Adam gets better real soon.
That is a shame. I thought Yauch had been through treatment and was given a clean bill of health. My thoughts are with him and his family for a full recovery.
