I love the new album itself and everything. I'm not a huge fan of the packaging though. It's too hard to get the inner part out of the outer box. Also, it's too hard to get the disc out without grabbing it. I'm sure I'll scratch it over time. :( My inner part doesn't seem like it folds correctly. I'm such a baby, haha.

I think the last regular CD case they had was for Ill Communication in 1994. My Hello Nasty CD always falls out because a couple little plastic holders in the CD hole broke after like a year. What's up with the band having these cardboard/paper CD cases? Is there a reason other than they put more time and effort into them than most others? (y) (I do appreciate that).

It's better for the environment and the Beasties are about protecting the planet and helping people.

Sounds like a personal issue. Kidding! ;)

I was actually wondering if I was the only one having trouble getting the inner CD "case" out of the sleeve. Glad it's not just me. And I think Destructo is right -- definitely more environmentally-friendly than plastic, which we have more than enough of already, right?

couple good pulls will loosen her up good!

I like these packages better....you can't step on cardboard and snap it into 15000 shards, which is what inevitably happens to everything plastic I own.

You beat me to that lol. I was just about to say they take that environment shit serious and so the packaging will always be ECO friendly. I ain’t gonna lie I sat there yesterday struggling to rip that CD outta the case without actually damaging it. It drove me mad because all I wanted to do was play it and I had to wait that much longer. The rest of my CD’s are worn out because of the casings but oh well I just decided at one point I’d buy them again. Glad I have the pre-ordered coming so I’ll have a nice copy for keepsake.

I had trouble getting the inner part out for a couple seconds. Then I opened the left side and pushed the inner case out with ease.

Same technique here, but I was sure I was going to tear it. Probably will eventually.

Haha, I just picked up mine this morning (work yesterday was insane) and I had the same problem. Its annoying, but the cover, the artwork, the whole design is phenomenal.

Haha! I did that too. I was freaking out. I didn't want to tear my new CD but it was my last resort. I saw the flap and opened it as carefully as I could!

The best way to solve the problem is to leave the CD in the player for as long as possible! (y)

Yeah, it's tough to get out, but at least its not like the reissue of MF DOOM's Operation Doomsday. The cover to the cd case can not close because the booklet is so thick. It's not even shrink wrapped in the lunch box it comes in.

You could always burn a copy and leave the original alone.

I think the packaging sucks.. and that is pretty much my opinion on it. I think their should be options. If you don't mind this shitty packaging then buy it at the store.. If you want a jewel case version than you can order it.. Something like that. I have TT5B in a jewel case. So much better.
