Just heard on KCRW.com that D and Adrock did some scoring for a film about Jean-Michel Basquiat called 'The Radiant Child'. The link below has a snippet of one of the tracks, but does anyone know if the soundtrack in full was ever released? Thanks. Oh, and Tammy D directed the film, as well. Gettin' biz on the crop...

Here's the link to the KCRW spot -

Forgive me, I know this has nothing to do with the soundtrack but found it interesting about the story.

There is a really excellent interview here with Tamara about her friendship with Jean-Michel. She talks about how she had the tapes all those years and never tried to use them to make money off her friend. She also talks about how traumatized he was by that interviewer a few years back for that cable art series.

Well after the whole bs posters comment thing on that other thread, why my eyes wandered down to the 1 and only comment, I'll never know  but the producer of that art show says to contact him "if you want the story behind the story." he claims Tamara's version is full of inaccuracies". Id be curious to hear his version.

Nope. None of the highlighted tracks are.
I didn't find the Ms. PacMan link that pshabi did, but a sample of 'Canal Zone' is still streaming here: http://blogs.kcrw.com/musicnews/2010/09/jean-michel-basquiat-the-radiant-child/

Canal Zone is really good. It's how I imagine unreleased HSC stuff to be, real short and weird.

I sorta think Yauch is playing bass on it, though. Wishful thinking, and all.

Nah, fuck it he is playing bass on it.

Are you sure? When I went in, the 3 that I put the info next to are there. I didn't go any further though but i do recognize a few of them and they should be there also. Give it another try. I found iTunes to be kinda picky when imputing search titles.

Nothing at all comes up in iTunes from a 'Radiant Child soundtrack' search. I also searched for the Mike/Adam titles and no go.
Amazon doesn't have any results for the soundtrack either...I don't think it ever was released?
