itunes bboys and pop your balloon

are the itunes versions of "b-boys in the cut "and "pop your balloon",new beefed up versions like "too many rappers" and "here's a little something for ya" or are they the 2009 versions?

well, they're not new versions in the TMR sense, but they sound much better. they have had a bit of a spruce up production-wise, i notice more sounds and the odd thing that wasn't there before (or wasn't audible). overall i think they're very solid tracks. i think mcduff and a few others have voiced their dislike of the quality though, which is fair enough, each to their own.

i am also unsure as to whether zdar mixed these tracks as well.

They added some crackle and pop to B-boys in the cut. Overall, they are not as bright sounding as the rest of disc, but better than we had before. The bass is boomin' on both tracks.

I'd be willing to bet that Zdar didn't mix these.

according to the bboys, the biggest reason they brought in a mixer was because they felt the mixes they had done were too muddy. they needed some brightness and clarity brought out of'em. I would say these 2 b-sides fit the pre-Zdar bill to a T.
