I just wanted to share this with ya'll....can't say why for sure....just felt the need since I've been on the BBMB so long. (Has it really been 11 years?)

On Mother's Day, the lady that raised me my entire life, my Grandmother, passed away. She wasn't that 'send ya a birthday card/see ya at x-mas/long distance' granny, she was, in every sense of the word...my mom.

Music is my entire life, and the number one thing in this world I love most. It's gotten me through some pretty hard times.

My favorite musical act of all-time, by and far, is the Beasties. Always has been, always will be.

If I didn't have this album, I couldn't have made it. I know it sounds crazy, but they dropped it right now for me...ya know? It helped me so much, and it's continuing to.

So if the Boys are reading this....muchisimas gracias weys...

So sorry to hear about your loss. Beastie Boys' music has always helped me through the difficult times (e.g., parents' divorce, school, loneliness, over-indulgences, bereavement, my own divorce, and so on). The last time I spoke to Adam Yauch, I told him how much their music has helped me over the years. I was a bit embarrassed doing so, but he was especially kind and thankful.
