So, after having heard Make Some Noise a shitload of times. It is still sounding really fresh and i have to think thats it up there as the best opening track of all the albums. What say you?
I think MSN sets the tone better than any of the other openers.

Although PB is my favorite album. Super disco breaking wins for me.

I thought of making a poll asking what is the best one-two punch to start an album. I think hello nasty deserves that even more with SDB then The Move

Excellent question Guy I, but look at that list of tracks.....it's too hard to call i reckon. Maybe Sure Shot followed by To all the Girls, followed by Make Some Noise, then Super Disco Breaking, Rhyming and Stealing, the rest can fight it out between themselves. But you know how it is, some days some albums just sound better than others....vague as always i'm afraid:rolleyes:

There is no question in my mind that Jimmy James has the best intro.

Check Your Head is by far my favorite album and I love the intro to Jimmy James, but I have to give Paul's Boutique and the combo of To All The Girls going right into Shake Your Rump as the absolute best intro.

Out of those track sure shot would be my favorite but as an opener i too have to go with super disco breakin as it just sets the mood perfectly. Although make some noise would probably be my 2nd choice

I went for super disco breaking, just because it's such an up-beat guitar line and vocals.

Tough call tho as I love Jimmy James too.

*sigh*

nice to see love for sure shot. probably my joint fave with MSN i just thought i would vote for MSN seeing as thats what got me thinking.
Sure shot has pretty much everything that features on IC. Jazz loops, lots of shouting, great beats, silly rhymes.

It's terrible to have to choose. I love Sure Shot too. The dog bark is mental.

The sound of the subway train pulling up, the booming 808’s and the sirens in the background that used to make me look over my shoulder and slow my car down.

SDB all the way.

I voted for Super Disco Breakin'....I just love the fade-in and you know it's about to be epic when Adrock says "Well it's 50 cups of coffee and you know it's on!"

Jimmy James a close second with the Cheap Trick sample, it sets you up for the entire CYH album.

Hard to beat "I love you."

or

"This next one, is the first song on our new album."

So I went with

Brank, brankbrank, brankbrank.

I went with Super Disco Breakin' but Jimmy James was a close 2nd. SDB just has an awesome beat and samples Run DMC...

I would have a tie with Sure Shot and Jimmy James, but definitely think the intro to Jimmy James is THE best, but Sure Shot does nothing but put you in an awesome mood the second it starts.
